Bizan Kaigetsu

This hotel boasts an incredibly beautiful view. There is also a shuttle service, so there is no hassle. Above all, the dinner and breakfast services are superb. There is an abundance of excellent food at the buffet.

The hotel is located next to Tokushima Bizan Park, about a 15-minute drive from the city center. It has free parking, which is very convenient. But on the way up the mountain, pay attention to the path that turns into the hotel, otherwise it is easy to miss it. The room is spacious and is a Japanese-style tatami room, very comfortable. The room is high above the city, overlooking the city of Tokushima, and the night view is very beautiful. Our accommodation included breakfast and dinner, and we dined at the buffet restaurant. The food was very rich and delicious, and there were also many choices for vegetarians. On the night of our check-in, after dinner, we asked the front desk staff to call a taxi for us to go to the Awa Hall to watch the show. The service staff was very considerate and asked the driver to not only take us to the hall, but also wait for us to finish the show before taking us back to the hotel. There is no additional charge for waiting time. It's really a home service, which is very much appreciated. It was also very comfortable to take a bath in the hotel's large public bath at night. The whole stay was very good. Highly recommended.

Located in the mountains, this hotel is ideal for travelers with cars. The rooms offer beautiful views, are spacious, and clean. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, and an oven is also available to help you unwind after a long day. Dinner is plentiful, and breakfast is also quite good. Highly recommended!

Considering its age, the hotel facilities are very well maintained, and I was very satisfied with breakfast and dinner. The public bath facilities were excellent, and the outdoor open-air bath was even better. Around 4 PM, I enjoyed the sauna all to myself, feeling like I had it practically to myself. The only downside was that the 10 AM shuttle bus (for 6 people) only runs once a day after check-in, so the taxi fare from Tokushima Station to Bizan Hotel was 2,150 yen (for a distance of roughly 4 kilometers). This hotel is great for a one-night stay, but if you plan to stay for two nights, you should be prepared for the taxi fare (2,150 yen), though it shouldn't be too much of a burden. Also, I heard that other rooms only have a sink and toilet, but Room 314, where I stayed for two nights, had a bathtub, so I was very satisfied. If I have the time, I plan to stay here again.

Located on the top of the mountain, it has a great view, operates a large public bath with an open-air bath, and is not crowded, so you can use it in a leisurely atmosphere. It is mostly visited by locals, and has facilities tailored to the elderly. It also provides high-quality dinner and breakfast, so it is a hotel that is good for resting in a quiet atmosphere overall.

The room was clean and nice. Everything we ate was delicious – so much so that we ate too much! The use of locally sourced ingredients was fantastic.

The rooms are a bit old. The staff seem to be trying their best. Be careful not to overeat at the buffet! ⚠️
