Hotel Suntargas Ueno Reviews

It might be the smallest room I have ever stayed in; however, it was quite cosy and comfortable, and it contains everything you would need, including TV and bathtub. The public laundry place also made it a nice place for people who stay quite long. What a miracle of minimalism. It is a perfect budget option for a solo traveller. The staff are polite and helpful. The location is so convenient with many stores and supermarkets around, within walking distance to Ueno Station and other attractions. The facility is also easy to use. I am glad that it was the first hotel for my first visit to Tokyo.

Coming from Narita Airport, it's a 5-8 minute walk after getting off at Keisei Ueno. It's very close to Ameya-Yokocho, and they offer free breakfast. The value for money is excellent, and it's super convenient to get to other places.

Walking distance from ueno so convenient when you are taking the skyliner. They have free breakfast which is not bad considering it’s free. A bit old but it serves its purpose. Cheap in Tokyo.

Great breakfast, great location, close to Ueno station but a bit hard to find, especially after long flight and at rainy night :-) Breakfast was delicious and staff was very kind to accommodate our tired group of 7 people. All supplies like body wash cloth and tooth brush were there and of very high quality.

It's an older hotel, but still spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The location is excellent, and it offers outstanding value for money.

Very strategic location to travel to Narita Airport to catch the first train. However, every time exiting the room, you need to handover the keys at the counter.

The building is very old and smell.

For a budget hotel, I rate Hotel Suntargas “excellent.” My reasons: cleanliness, location (walking distance from metro and JR train, Ueno park, eateries, and shops.

Good location, easy access to Ueno station,. Even though typical budget hotel, little bit small. But feel comfortableto stay here
