Excellent value for money, the top choice for solo travel in Tokyo! I chose to stay at "Tokyo Hostel Itabashi-shuku" for my solo trip to Tokyo. Impeccable cleanliness: Whether it was the bed, bathroom, or common areas, everything was spotless. You could tell the host put a lot of effort into maintaining it, which made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Convenient location and amenities: The hostel is in a great location with very convenient surrounding amenities. Shopping, dining, and transportation were all smooth and easy, which was a huge relief for a solo traveler. Warm and thoughtful service: What left the deepest impression was the warm service. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The facilities here are comprehensive, the environment is comfortable, and most importantly, the price is very affordable. It's a high-quality youth hostel that offers both comfort and great value for money. I will definitely return on my next trip to Tokyo!

The hostel is clean and quite far enough from the city center. The staff is friendly and helpful. No elevator is a big minus.

Not bad, but there was a strange smell in the room when we entered, and the shower was in the basement, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything else was fine. The transportation was convenient, and it was very quiet. Overall, it was still good. Accommodation in Tokyo is just too expensive.

Clean room

The facilities were generally clean. There's no elevator, only stairs, and the hot water for the shower was sometimes unavailable, but other than that, I think it was good.

I really love this place. Location: Not far from Ikebukuro, you need to take the Tobu-Tojo line, but it is near the station, only a 3-min walk. Cleanliness: Overall it is clean, but there is always a smell on the first floor, but it still doesn’t bother me! Service: Really the best. I really love the staff here. I talk to Rio, who was the reception for my April stay he really has an impressive level of English, and he explains so well! I would love to chat with him again! Also thanks, Nana, for keeping my luggage, and Anna, who is really bright and fluent in Japanese and English! Amenity: I really love the basement here; there’s space for everyone. That's why I always choose this hostel. Even if the price is sometimes higher than other places, the staff always cleans the plate for you. The bin is too little for the amount of trash lol. I recommend here! I leave the room to improve a bit for cleanliness, but this place is still clean! I hope next time I can give you 10/10

This was my first time traveling abroad, my first time traveling alone, and my first time flying solo. The front desk staff here speak English, everyone is very friendly, and the environment is super clean. Everyone is very considerate, and everywhere is spotless. Waiting for the washing machine on the rooftop at night while sipping a soda really hit the spot. For an introvert like me, it was incredibly comfortable. I'll definitely be back next time!

If you’re not a person who knows how to abide by rules then don’t go. It’s quite organised and clean and has sufficient amenities for a comfortable stay. Very clean and quiet also. Staff members are very friendly and accommodating. I will go back if I’m in Tokyo area and I highly recommend.
