it smelled like mildew. the towel smelled like chips. the traffic noise is loud. the air leaks from a hole in the wall near the head of the bed and from under the door that leads to an outside hallway, so bugs can easily enter. i asked for a quiet room and they gave me a room on a lower floor. the receptionist is usually somewhere else, i think cleaning a room, so there's no one there to check-in. it's cramped to open 1 suitcase.

not bad ok for 1 2 nights... pretty tight room... they didnt let me 1 minute before to check in at 3 pm..still so so...

The room was a bit small, but the bed was large, perfect for a solo overnight stay. It was clean and hygienic, and they even provided bath salts and water upon check-in. Luggage storage was also available. Most importantly, it's super close and convenient to Ikebukuro Station!

Great value for money! The hotel is in a fantastic location, not far from Ikebukuro's bus terminal and subway station. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed. Overall, I think the price is really good for what you get.

The room was tiny, barely fitting a bed with no space for anything else. It would be a struggle if you had large luggage. The ventilation system was poor, and the smoky smell in the room just wouldn't dissipate.

Fantastic! The front desk service was excellent! Although the hotel is small, it has everything you need: a private bathroom, air conditioning, TV, and refrigerator. It's quiet and located right next to Ikebukuro West Gate Park, and only a five-minute walk to the JR station – absolutely amazing! However, for germaphobes, it might be a bit challenging as the room definitely shows its age. But honestly, that's not important. For just over 300 yen, these conditions are the absolute best you can get. I've never stayed in such a cost-effective hotel. Highly recommend!!!!

Reception service is polite, patient to serve , introduce how to get personal health tools. Room is bit small, but bed is comfortable for sleeping. Corridor is quiet.

Perfect location, great for solo travelling

The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete. It's right near Ikebukuro West Exit, making it very convenient for getting around.

Pros: This hotel is just okay for a reasonable price. Decent for a place to sleep. Location is good, very close to the C1 exit of Ikebukuro West exit so okay to take the train even if raining. Good for travelers on a budget. Nothing fancy but with complete basic amenities. Cons: The room is really small. Cannot open luggage. No cleaning/housekeeping done in our room for our entire stay (11 nights) even though it is stated in their policy that "If you stay 7 consecutive nights, you will get 1 free time (of room cleaning) - (see pic)". We encountered a problem when checking in after 11.30pm. In trip.com's listing, it was stated that: "Front desk hours: [Mon-Sun]09:00–23:30; Self check-in: Contact the property for the access code; If you will arrive outside of check-in hours, contact the property 1 day in advance by phone". Since our flight will arrive in Narita late at night and we cannot check-in by 11.30pm, we emailed the hotel 3 days before the check-in date to avail the "self check-in" function but they did not reply immediately. Hence, we called the hotel 2 days before our check-in date and we were advised by the local staff that there is NO "self check-in" at this hotel and that our only option is to (1) check-in at 9am the next day of our check-in date or (2) cancel the entire booking. We do not want to cancel the entire booking since we are staying multiple nights (11N) and the hotel prices have already gone up so we decided to just book another hotel via trip.com for 1 night then check-in the next day at this hotel which costed us an additional of USD100+. Now come our check-in date, they replied to our email (at 8.11pm of our check-in date) that we can use "self check-in". They stated "We will leave the key to your Room on the 3rd floor open, so please feel free to enter." However, at this time we cannot cancel the other hotel that we booked for 1 night that in the first place we booked because of their advice that we cannot check-in after 11pm. This hotel is very poor with communication with their guests. Overall, I will NOT recommend. Better to stay somewhere else with flexible check-in policy especially if you are checking-in late at night like we did.

Well located just a few metres from exit C1 of Ikebukuro station. It's a cheap option, and you get what you pay for
