Ikebukuro's convenience primarily shines in these aspects: · 🚉 Transportation Hub: Ikebukuro Station is Japan's second busiest station. You can take the JR Yamanote Line directly to Shinjuku in 8 minutes and Tokyo Station in 24 minutes; there are also subway lines that go straight to Shibuya. There are also direct express buses from Narita/Haneda airports, so you don't have to drag your luggage around changing trains. · 🛍️ Shopping Paradise: The area around the station is packed with department stores, and they're all connected by underground passages, so you don't have to worry about rain. · East Exit: Seibu Department Store features a massive Loft flagship store and anime shops like Pokémon Center; PARCO focuses on trendy fashion. · West Exit: Tobu Department Store is the largest in the Kanto region and offers a vast selection of dining options; LUMINE has HARBS cakes and Muji. There's also a 24-hour Don Quijote to restock anytime.

This is the worst and most overpriced hotel I've stayed at in Japan. The old bidet only flushes, the hairdryer gets scalding hot after ten seconds and barely blows any air, the windows don't open, and there's no kettle. If you have other options, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the station. The cleanliness was satisfactory, and I especially liked that the toiletries were Lux brand. However, I was quite uncomfortable with the bedding not having duvet covers.

Stayed here for 8 days and I can say that the place is really nice. It’s almost in the center of Tokyo and very accessible to the metro, which made getting around so convenient. The receptionists can understand English well, so we had no problems with communication at all. It truly made my Japan trip extra special! I just wish they had name tags so guests could address them directly for a more personal touch. I highly recommend this hotel for solo travelers or even groups. Will surely book here again on my next trip!

Convenient location and near to metro

The staff know how to speak basic English (Love that). The cleaner did a good job in doing room service too. The hotel is also quite strategic as it is near to the Yamanote Line (10 minute walk to the station), in front of 24-hour operated FamilyMart (has ATM machine), some park and there is one halal restaurant near this hotel too.

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station. Its located near restos and major shops. The room is comfortable enough.

I stayed here for 11 nights in February 2026. Will definitely book again in my next stay in Tokyo. Very convenient location - has a nearby station to Narita Airport (shuttle bus), accessible within 30 minutes to all key location in Tokyo by train. It’s an older hotel property but well-maintained. Heating was OK. The room is slightly bigger than typical Japanese hotel room, enough to comfortably leave a luggage open without tripping on the floors. Has laundry service, very reliable staff. Really had a comfortable stay here for a long time.

Good hotel and staff, clean everyday, close to ikebukuro station, only 10mnt walking , good location.

The 12 PM check-out alone gets a huge thumbs-up! The room was so warm we didn't even need to turn on the heater. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's decent for the price.

The front desk lady had a super sweet smile, making check-in a breeze – it took less than 3 minutes. She also thoughtfully shared tips on nearby restaurants and transportation, not even missing out on some hidden gems. The room itself was a delightful surprise. It was impeccably clean, the bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the mattress was just the right balance of firm and soft. Coupled with excellent soundproofing, all my travel fatigue melted away the moment I hit the bed. The bathroom's wet and dry separation was well-designed, and the hot water supply was abundant and consistently warm. The toiletries had a fresh, pleasant scent without being overpowering – every detail showed thoughtful care. The in-room smart devices were easy to use, and the high-speed Wi-Fi was consistently smooth, perfect for both work and streaming. Even the USB charging ports by the bed were perfectly placed. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh options, with a balanced mix of Western and Chinese dishes. The quality of ingredients was top-notch, making for a very satisfying meal. From the cleaning staff in the public areas to every employee who greeted me as I passed by, everyone exuded genuine sincerity and professionalism. The value for money is truly exceptional. The convenient location, complete facilities, and heartwarming service make it a 'healing haven' during my travels. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!
