The Tokyo Station Hotel Reviews

The Tokyo Station Hotel is incredibly historic, built in 1915. The service is excellent, and the hotel itself is stunning from every angle, day or night. It's located right above Tokyo Station, which is both bustling and convenient. While Daimaru department store is next door, I found the shops within the station to be more than enough to explore.

Every staff member was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The room's ceiling height is a rare luxury for Japan, and the breakfast was abundant, offering a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. The hotel's attention to detail is exquisite.

This was my second stay at the station hotel, and it's incredibly convenient for transit. Upon arrival at Tokyo Station, you can walk towards the Marunouchi South Exit where a small door directly accesses the hotel, so you don't even need to go outside. This time, I booked the hotel's basic 36-square-meter room. The room had a peculiar smell, which I suspect might have been due to the humidity during the rainy season, making my stay feel uncomfortable. The room's location wasn't ideal either; it overlooked some equipment with absolutely no view. The 40-square-meter room type I stayed in before was much better. However, the hotel service and breakfast were, as always, excellent.

We had a very pleasant stay at Tokyo Station Hotel . The room is quiet and clean , all amenities ample . Location is central to all our favorite shopping areas.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right above Tokyo Station, next to the Marunouchi entrance. This made catching the Shinkansen the next day incredibly convenient, and even chartered cars could pull right up to the entrance. The breakfast was absolutely delicious; the unagi (eel) rice was better than what you'd find outside, and the entire meal was exquisitely prepared. The service was also exceptionally thoughtful – the housekeeping staff even straightened my doll when they cleaned the room during the day while I was out.

The hotel is beautiful, very photogenic, and boasts an excellent location. However, the service was quite average. No one offered to help with luggage when entering or leaving the lobby. For a hotel costing over 5,000 a night, this level of service truly falls short and requires significant improvement.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with a strong old-money feel to it. Its prime location makes getting around incredibly convenient. The rooms are also a decent size. The area around is teeming with shopping malls. Breakfast offers both Japanese and Western options. The quality is superb, but even after two mornings, I found myself getting a bit tired of it. Blame my 'Chinese palate'!

I loved it here! It’s my favourite hotel in Tokyo thus far! The staff are amazing from the get go. We’ve booked the meet and greet service from the station and I’m so glad we have booked this service! Its made the navigation in such a gigantic station much easier! Every staff we have met has been extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. I have a little one who loves trains and staffs would prepare the little amenities for him. Our room is extremely comfortable and quiet amid being inside the station! One of my favourite moment is breakfast! It’s full of different choices, and they are all really delicious!

Super good! Excellent location with convenient transportation, and the room was very clean and hygienic. I'll definitely stay here again next time. This will be my go-to hotel every time I come to Tokyo!!

Our favourite hotel in the Tokyo Area. Stayed here numerous times over the years. Very conveniently located right on top of Tokyo Station, makes it easy to travel anywhere. Breakfast has a good selection of both Japanese & Western cuisine, and served up in the pleasant Atrium. Service is good as usual, from reception to housekeeping to restaurant staff.

The service was, as expected, truly five-star. I particularly loved the recently renovated decor, which was perfectly to my taste, and the breakfast was also excellent. Its location directly opposite the Imperial Palace is fantastic, making it ideal for a morning walk or jog. I'll definitely choose to stay here again in the future.

Absolutely amazing hotel in an historic building.   Staff members were very attentive and provided excellent service. Rooms were well maintained, cool and comfortable. Incredible breakfast with western and Japanese offerings. Highly recommend.

Second time staying in this hotel, great location if you plan to travel a lot in and out of Tokyo.

The hotel is right by Tokyo Station, and it's a very unique building. The rooms are beyond excellent—very clean and beautiful, and quite spacious. The service is also great. Breakfast is fantastic, with both Japanese and Western options. We had an early departure, so it was convenient that breakfast started at 6:30 AM. The only minor inconvenience was not being able to check in early; we had to wait until 3 PM.
