Hotel Villa Fontaine Tokyo-Ueno Okachimachi Reviews

Location is 15 minutes walk from shintomachi subway station. Room size-wise is small but eventually it still fits 2 twin beds and still have enough space for 2 large luggages and 1 cabin luggage. Love the brightness of the room. Only the bed size is quite small like 100 cm width and pillow is also small and hard. Front desk is very helpful and we can buy tokyo subway card from hotel at cheaper 100 yen from machine at train station. Overall this hotel is good for room and service but quite a distance from subway especially if you have to drag luggages.

For the price paid and the size of the room, we were quite satisfied with our choice. Location is perfect. Facilities provided such as microwave and coin laundry. We stayed for 4 nights so the towel was changed daily and on the 3rd day, the vacuum the room and change the bedsheet. Plus point, i love the view from my room. However, the bidet toilet was in poor condition, the water jet is very slow stream. Being said that, basic cleaning was not achievable at WC

3 min walk to Shin Okachimachi Subway Station. Great base for exploring Euno Park, Ameyoko Market, Akihabara & Akasuka via train/ subway. Many shops, halal restaurants, convenient stores, local eateries within walking distance.

The room was OK stop quite nice but location a bit far away from the metro if you're from the airport and connect with JR if very far but the thing that I not understand why hotel not every day cleaning the room is deep hand on request just only towel and clear the trash

The room was a bit small; we couldn't fully open two 26-inch suitcases. There are several subway stations nearby, but only the larger, more distant ones have elevators. The smaller stations only have escalators going up. There are many convenience stores, but not many restaurants. Overall, it's good value for money.

It's a bit of a walk from the metro station, which can be tiring, but the hotel is definitely upscale. The bathroom is very large and spacious, and the room size is quite decent. They offer free hot water and bottled water.

The location is great, very close to Senso-ji Temple, Ueno Park, and the University of Tokyo, making transportation super convenient. The toiletries provided by the hotel are excellent, and there's a convenience store nearby for food anytime. The hotel also offers breakfast, which can be purchased separately.

We selected this hotel due to its spacious room (16m2) and has two single beds compared to other hotels. The hotel is near various subway stations, very convenient to explore Tokyo by subway. Walking distance (about 1km) to Ueno Ameyoko. There's a local shopping street selling food, fruits, sushi, bento etc. very convenient. The hotel provided all amenities of good quality. Service is good and friendly. Free luggage storage on checkout day. The only thing that can improve is to try to make it dust free. You can still see dust in the room, and your shirt especially black shirt will stick with the white fabric dust easily. Despite this, it does not affect the stay. Highly recommend if you prefer a bigger room in a quieter area, still enjoy the convenience close to the city.

The hotel is very clean, and the surrounding area is super convenient. There are several convenience stores, and dining options are plentiful. For getting around, you have many subway and tram lines to choose from, with stations ranging from 400m to 1.5km away depending on your destination. No matter where you're headed, getting there is quite easy. Plus, there's a fantastic ramen shop near the hotel!

A pleasant stay for 5 nights. Good view from the window, friendly staff, comfortable temperature in the room, access to multiple convenient stores.

The hotel was decent. It was very clean, not far from the subway lines, and a few minutes walk to some convenience stores. The rooms are a bit small (as expected) but comfortable enough. While the neighborhood was quiet, we still heard some street noise and other general building noise as we were on the second floor. If you are sensitive to noise, I would try to get a higher floor.

Walk more than 10 minutes to the shopping area and restaurant.
