The hotel is close to Higashi-Ikebukuro, with various transportation options, making it convenient to get anywhere. The location is great. The room facilities are decent, but there's a strong new renovation smell. Even after airing it out all day, the chemical odor, likely benzene, was still very noticeable. Also, it would be great if the desk were a bit larger. The bed was uncomfortable; the duvet was lumpy and didn't provide much warmth, and the bedding had an unpleasant oily smell. If you have large luggage, I recommend staying on the first floor as the stairs to the second floor are quite steep and narrow, making it difficult to carry bags up. Although there was no in-person contact with the hotel staff, all communication was thoughtful and detailed.

Overall experience wasn't bad. Would strongly recommend to not bring any big size luggage as the stairs are superb small. Please use exit 4 and turn left when arrived instead of exit 5 which doesnt have elevator. The management responded very promptly even we're communicating via email. Appreciate that!

It was perfect for me. Cheap, near the metro. It was clean and the instructions to get there were very clear.

I enjoyed my stay! I recommend it for solo travelers. The walk from the station isn't long and it has a supermarket right around the corner.

Studio G2 is located within walking distance of Ikebukuro, which is a bustling area both during the day and night. It was conveniently located close to transport, including the Tokyo Sakura Tram (the last tram line in Tokyo). A convenience store (Maruetsu Petit) is just round the corner. After seeing the accommodation online, I thought it would be an interesting place to stay. This proved to be both a positive and negative experience. The positives: location, modern, extra cooking facilities (stovetop, frypan, saucepan, knife, ladle, spoon), plates/bowls, cutlery, mug, separate shower / toilet (and both were clean). The negatives: linen was dirty (after contacting manger, clean linen was provided on bed), no bathmat (only towel, hand towel / face washer), small chair to sit on (which wasn't very comfortable), only 1 pillow available (request was made for another, but response was 1 pillow as a single bed, justified, but not helpful), no plugs for basins, no glass for drinking. If there are other people staying in adjoining rooms, then you are likely to hear noise coming from these. Once I filled in the online form (and although providing a copy of my passport initially, this may have been missed) the instructions for accessing the room were easy to follow. Although it was easy to climb up the ladder to access the bed, if I had to do this again, I probably wouldn't choose this style of accommodation.

Spare towels and bath towels are not provided, so if you're staying multiple nights, you'll need to wash them at a nearby laundromat or add an additional set for 550 yen. I recommend bringing your own towels if you're staying multiple nights. All advance emails from the hotel (which seemed to be from an external representative) were in English. Online check-in is required the day before, so be sure to translate and read the emails carefully. I chatted with the hotel owner(?) through the Trip.com app, but sometimes my message didn't reach the hotel, which was inconvenient. I was able to get through by phone, and the problem was resolved. However, I received a call from a different number (a call center that handles services other than studioG2?) who said they had contacted me and would call me back. I thought the hotel (apartment) was clean. It was quite small, but the facilities were new and clean. However, the walls and doors were thin, so there was a lot of noise. I had some issues with the amenities and communicating with the hotel, so I couldn't rate it very highly.

It's not very clean but it's a cheap place to stay for a solo traveler. There are also cars to take you to the Higashi-Ikebukuro exit after you arrive at the red-eye flight. It's within walking distance. I hope it can be maintained more cleanly.

This hotel was cheap but there was no front desk and people were not there it was inconvenient you had to get a room key with a password to enter

The location is not far from the station. It is recommended to take Exit 4. There was hair stuck to the hair dryer...the quilt cover was obviously dirty. Maybe it was a psychological effect. On the first day, I was itching all over my body when I lay in bed. I didn’t meet the owner face to face, so the service got 4 stars.
