Imperial Hotel, Tokyo

A century-old hotel with an elegant and grand ambiance. The room was clean and comfortable, amenities were exquisite, and the service was attentive and polite. The location is excellent, making it convenient for getting around. Overall, a great and very satisfying stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center and within walking distance of Ginza. Subway access nearby also makes transportation very convenient. The lobby staff were very accommodating, and I'd especially like to commend the following front desk personnel: NAKATA and SEKIMOTO. They were professional, efficient, and thoughtfully assigned a suitable room based on my needs. The Bell Staff, ABE, was gentle, attentive, and friendly. The housekeeping staff were also very efficient, delivering water promptly, ensuring the room was well-stocked with amenities, and keeping it impeccably clean. All of the above staff made us feel the brand image that the Imperial Hotel should embody, and we'd like to extend our special praise! The room was very clean. Although it's an older hotel, there were no issues with outdated facilities or poor maintenance. The entire room felt very comfortable, natural, and clean. The air conditioning was excellent – very quiet, almost imperceptible, with no direct draft and no noise. The temperature was naturally comfortable. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, and this level of performance is superb, reflecting a discreet, natural, and understated elegance. The two power outlets by the bedside were convenient and practical; they're two-prong, so my iPhone could be charged without an adapter. The automatic curtains, minibar, sofa and small table, and writing desk were all well-arranged and easy to use. Overall, a five-star rating. I booked several nights this time and look forward to enjoying every day. I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

This is my third stay here, and the service is consistently excellent 👍. The annex building is newer than the main one, and its location is incredibly convenient, with subway lines to Ginza, Nihonbashi, Shinjuku, and Narita Airport all within easy reach. I love it! 💕

I've been to Tokyo many times, and the Imperial Hotel truly lives up to its reputation; it offers the best value for money. I was extremely satisfied with the hotel's rooms, location, service, facilities, and breakfast. The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna, so you can go for a swim or soak in the hot tub when you don't feel like going out, which is very relaxing. It's only about a 150-meter walk to the subway, which is a great distance, especially since Tokyo was incredibly hot in August. The room size is not small for Tokyo standards, and getting breakfast for two for just over 2000 [currency, likely JPY] is hard to find for this quality in Tokyo.

Breakfast involved a wait of over half an hour, and the selection was limited, mostly Western options. The hotel facilities were quite good, and the service was attentive, though the efficiency of the service could be improved.

So glad I booked the Imperial Hotel again! Compared to others, it really offers great value for money. Check-in time is 2 PM, but I arrived a little after 1 PM and was able to check in smoothly right away. This time I stayed on the 24th floor, and the view was absolutely fantastic. The room was quite spacious, with a viewing table by the window – perfect for enjoying food, drinks, and the scenery. The soundproofing in the room was decent, though I could still hear a rumbling sound when the tram passed downstairs. However, not many trams run late at night, so it didn't really affect my sleep. The room was very clean, and the entire hotel was spotless. The bathroom was spacious, and there was even a small stool in front of the vanity, which was a thoughtful touch. The shower pressure was excellent, making for a very comfortable shower; it almost felt like a massage. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and hope to stay here again next time!

The iconic Imperial Hotel, a landmark in Japan for over 130 years, is also the birthplace of the Japanese buffet, introduced in 1958. Its location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Ginza and only 3 kilometers from Tokyo Station, with the Imperial Palace also within walking distance. The breakfast selection is extensive, offering options from the 17th-floor buffet to Japanese breakfast in the basement, French cuisine, and other gourmet choices. The service is truly top-notch. While the hotel shows its age, it is incredibly well-maintained. I revisited for afternoon tea after more than a decade, and it was just as wonderful and unchanged as I remembered.
