Hyatt Regency Tokyo Reviews

Pleasantly enjoyed my 2 night stay at this hotel with my partner, after staying at a smaller sized room in Ginza. The size of the room was great for Tokyo, and everything was nice and clean. The lobby is certainly an eye opener when first walking in.

Has an old-money vibe, with a subway station and convenience store downstairs. It's not far from Shinjuku Station; you can walk or take the hotel's free shuttle bus.

The only downsides were the small room and the view being blocked by the city hall building right in front. Otherwise, everything was fine.

The room was very comfortable after the renovation, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The room felt more spacious than before, and the bed was very comfortable. The 7-Eleven downstairs is super convenient for grabbing lots of tasty treats. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus to Shinjuku, making shopping and getting around really easy. It's an established hotel with excellent quality!

This is hands down the worst Hyatt I've ever stayed at in Japan. I checked in on the 20th, and on the evening of the 22nd, while packing my bags, I found a receipt next to the bed. I initially thought it was mine and didn't pay much attention. Later, I discovered a used feminine hygiene product under the bed. When I looked at the receipt again, it was dated the 17th. None of these items belonged to me, and there was even hair on the sanitary pad. It was absolutely disgusting. I called the front desk, but they might not have understood me, as no one came up for 20 minutes. I then went down to the front desk myself to report it. A front desk colleague accompanied me back to the room, and we had to wait another 10 minutes or so for the customer service supervisor. When she arrived, she apologized, picked up the rubbish that was left in my room, and that was it. There was no follow-up whatsoever.

This is an older luxury hotel located on the quieter side of Shinjuku. It has a beautiful lobby, and there's a fantastic Japanese restaurant on the second floor. The hotel is conveniently located near the Tocho-mae subway station. The rooms are clean and comfortable, though not particularly spacious. The breakfast is excellent.

The room appeared to be over 25 square meters, but for exact measurements, refer to the hotel description. The furniture and lighting in the room were tastefully designed, combining wood and metal elements. The bathroom had the visual effect of stone, though I didn't confirm the actual material. Ventilation in the room was excellent, and it stayed warm even in winter. The room was cleaned thoroughly every day. For environmental reasons, linens were changed every four days, which is acceptable. The lighting controls were well-placed, with three master switches: one on each side of the bed and one by the door. Overall, the management standard truly felt five-star. Across from the hotel is an office building, but its indoor plaza, "Triangle Plaza," has fantastic dining options, as well as a lawn, a large screen, and two or three Christmas photo areas. It's definitely worth considering if you're looking for nearby places to eat.

The room was quite spacious for Tokyo standards, and the view was fantastic! You could even see Mount Fuji in the distance, which was a huge plus. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided attentive service. It really lives up to its reputation as an established brand. I'll definitely book at the Hyatt again on my next visit!

The room was decent, nothing fancy like a minibar, probably because it was recently renovated. Overall, it's okay, though there was a fair bit of dust on the linens. But for a business hotel, it's good; cleanliness is key. The room offered a view of Mount Fuji, and the location is excellent with a subway station right downstairs. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, and the airport shuttle stops right outside.

Excellent! The airport shuttle bus goes directly to the hotel, and the service is very attentive. There's also a shuttle bus from the hotel to Shinjuku Station, so all in all, it's incredibly convenient.

Love the Christmas decor and there is direct limousine bus to the hotel. But it is not near to major stations will stay if deal is good

Just a classic high end hotel with great view. Also plus it has a 7Eleven and subway right under the hotel. Very friendly staff and great ambient.

The hotel seems to have been recently renovated and looks much newer. The west-facing garden view rooms offer a view of Mount Fuji. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from Shinjuku Station and the Shinjuku business district, which isn't super close but still acceptable.

My stay was a terrible experience. The first two nights were booked directly on the Hyatt website, and I used a suite upgrade voucher. I arrived at 2 PM, and they told me there were no clean rooms available and I'd have to wait until 6 PM to check in. I found this incredibly unbelievable – isn't the normal check-in time 3 PM? They said suites have a 4 PM check-out time. I've stayed in probably 400-500 five-star hotels, big and small, all over the world, and this is the first time I've ever encountered something like this. Maybe I just look ugly and was discriminated against! For the last night, I booked through Trip.com, and perhaps seeing that I might leave a negative review, their attitude improved slightly. I strongly advise everyone not to stay here! During check-in, no one even bothered to explain where breakfast was served.
