Functional room though small in size. Lots of dining options. Shower and toilet facilities are excellent. Left luggage service is great. Will definitely stay there again when I am back in Tokyo.

Seriously, what is this?! I was staying for multiple nights and had my room cleaned daily, and the towels were supposed to be changed. But then I found this on a bath towel, it's absolutely disgusting. I have no idea what it is, but it's just so gross.
The room is also very small. I bumped my head on the corner of the table while packing and got a big bump. Just a heads-up for others to be careful.

The Narita Airport Line 16 bus takes you directly to the hotel, which is the Washington Hotel. It's located within a shopping mall that has restaurants, eateries, and convenience stores, making it very convenient. It's a bit of a walk from Shinjuku West Exit, a little further than we expected. The rooms aren't huge, but there are many of them. The breakfast on the 25th floor offers a wide selection and has a lovely view.

The location is great, very close to Shinjuku Station, making it super convenient for shopping at Yodobashi Camera, BIC Camera, and Keio Department Store. The self-check-in process is also quite easy. A major plus is that the airport shuttle bus goes directly to the hotel, and you can buy tickets and board the bus back to the airport right outside the hotel, with buses running every 20 minutes. The self-service luggage storage is also very convenient. The downside, which is common in Japan, is that the rooms are small. The service wasn't great, possibly due to the self-service nature which limits communication.

Have cockroaches in the room. I’ve asked the hotel to change me another room instead. That’s horrible.

Finally booked a room on the ladies' floor! The room is huge, easily accommodating three suitcases open side-by-side. The products have been completely upgraded! DHC facial wash and care products, and a full set of Refa showerheads and hairdryers. I looked it up online, and each hairdryer costs over 2,000 yuan – definitely worth it!

The hotel's best asset is its great location, but the soundproofing isn't good and the room is very small. It's suitable for solo business travelers.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of Shinjuku, about a 15-minute walk from the JR station. For breakfast, there are two restaurants to choose from, one on the 25th floor and one on the 1st floor. I found the food and taste at both to be very good. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Tokyo.

The hotel offers a direct airport shuttle service, which is quite convenient. It's also located near the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. There are dining options right below the hotel, and a small drug store at the entrance, where hotel guests can get a 10% discount. You can walk through a covered walkway to the subway station in about 10 minutes. On a nice day, you can take a 5-20 minute walk to places like Yoyogi Park. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is also very close to the hotel. The airport shuttle schedule is available for reference.

Worst Hotel Experience in Tokyo – Never Again
I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
The biggest issue was the iron. I requested an iron four different times over four consecutive days. Every single time, I was told there wasn’t one available and that I had to wait up to six hours. The only way I could finally get one was by repeatedly going down to the front desk, arguing with the staff, and raising my voice because they simply ignored my requests. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel of this size.
The front desk staff were also very disappointing. They were unfriendly, unprofessional, and did not know how to speak to guests respectfully. Instead of trying to help, their attitude often felt defensive and even aggressive.
The room was extremely small—barely suitable for one person, let alone two adults with luggage.
Another disappointing policy was charging 1,000 yen per person for a late checkout, even if you’re only a few minutes past 12:00 PM. There was absolutely no flexibility or understanding.
Overall, I will never stay at this hotel again, and I cannot recommend it to anyone. There are many better hotels in Tokyo that provide much better customer service and treat their guests with respect. This hotel seriously needs to improve both its customer service and guest experience. ⭐☆☆☆☆

I had requested for a high floor and was given a room on the 23rd, the view was very nice and the room was very decently sized. The service team are very attentive and helpful. I think the distance from Shinjuku station the hotel is very doable and is quite straightforward. The close proximity to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building makes it very convenient to visit. Overall I would love to stay again here in the future given the opportunity.

Generally considered a good value option in Shinjuku, especially for first-time visitors who want easy access to trains and nightlife.
