Location: A bit far from the subway station and central Shinjuku, but there are two 100-yen Lawson stores nearby for daily essentials. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, though not brand new. Facilities: There is a fridge in the room; I heard there's a laundry room, but I couldn't find it. Staying in the annex building this time meant walking down an extra corridor—quite a novel experience.

There's a 7-Eleven nearby, and another one if you turn right out of the main entrance. A few steps further, there's a supermarket where you can browse discounted items. Keep walking and you'll find some restaurants. The train station is about a 12-15 minute walk, and the bus stop is 3-5 minutes away. Check-in is self-service, so you won't have much interaction with staff.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and the room condition was excellent! I was worried because I saw many reviews saying the air conditioning was weak, but mine worked perfectly and kept the room cool. However, it is a bit of a walk from Shinjuku Station. Be sure to use the main road at night, as the back alleys can be dark! It's hard to find a hotel in Shinjuku with this good condition at this price point, so I was very happy with it.

My room was in an annex building, right next to the elevator. The moment I opened the door, a stale smell hit me. There was no view outside the window, just cluttered building facilities. The room was so small it could barely fit two single beds, and I had to squeeze sideways to get between the bed and the wall. The bathroom floor was 30 centimeters higher than the room floor, which made going in and out very inconvenient and easy to trip, a disaster for the elderly and children. The bathroom was designed in the corner of the bedroom, behind the wardrobe, so the door couldn't even open completely, only halfway. The bathroom itself was tiny, and the floor felt soft, like a plastic sheet – it seemed like a makeshift toilet. It was even difficult to turn around, and the sink actually took up part of the bathtub's space. I booked for five days but wanted to check out after one night, and the hotel surprisingly refused, insisting on an over 800 yuan penalty. After much back and forth, I ended up staying two days and was charged over 2500 yuan. I will never come back to this hotel again.

Room size abit small location still OK around 15min walk too shinjuku city

A simple hotel with a retro design. Everything you need is in the room. We were constantly out exploring and only came back to shower and sleep. Yes, it's a bit cramped, but that seems to be a characteristic of Japan itself. The location is very convenient, and the breakfasts are delicious. Important note: If you are 190 cm or taller, you might find it uncomfortable because the ceilings are low. My husband is just over 180 cm, and he occasionally bumped his head on the doorframes, so be careful.

The room was very comfortable and spacious enough. There are two convenience stores near the hotel downstairs, which is very convenient for buying anything. The only downside is that it's a bit far from Shinjuku Station, about a ten-minute walk. Also, the walk back at night is a bit dark. However, for this price, the quality is excellent.

Very good stay. Staff are friendly. The room is fine. The price is reasonable good. About 10 mins walk to Metro station. We have good stay.

An older-style hotel in the center of Shinjuku, and it was quite a unique experience since I had never been in this type of hotel before. Everything was very compact—I honestly felt like I was staying in a small cabin on a ship. I would definitely like to praise the cleanliness of the hotel. Everything was spotless, and I have no complaints in that regard. The bed and pillows, however, were quite firm. I think the hotel could improve the mattresses and pillows to make them more comfortable. Breakfast was served as a buffet. While it was decent, I believe the selection could be improved, as the food was the same every day and lacked variety. One more thing I have to mention is the smell in the hotel lobby near the reception area—it was extremely unpleasant. Many guests seemed to cover their noses and hurry through the lobby because of it. The combination of odors was quite overwhelming and made me feel nauseous.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They speak English. Hotel is an old one, room is not that spacious, so the price is understandable, but you can see all of that on the photos before booking

This was the only reasonably priced hotel I could find in the Shinjuku area during the Sakura season. It is a basic business hotel, but the room is of a reasonable size, and they have a Simmons mattress, which is fantastic!

The room was too small, couldn't even fit one suitcase, and the facilities were quite old. The slippers felt like they were designed for women, which was uncomfortable. However, the location was great, very convenient with Kabukicho and Gyoen not far away, and I could even see the Skytree from the room.

He location is fantastic and the staff were friendly. Washing machine and dryer available for cheap to use. Very good budget accom. Very close to the *** area in shinjuku which was perfect for me.
