Great
GGuest UserGreat view from room, staff were very accommodating and friendly, especially Ms. Watanabe at the front desk with her smile! They accepted our bags the day prior and even froze some foods I wanted to take home with me and sent a bag to my next destination for me. They even have a 7-11 on the first floor, very convenient! Views were amazing and room amenities were great!
Drawbacks are: no microwaves or laundry machines for personal/guest use, but they do have laundry service. You also enter from ground/2nd floor and go to the 20th floor for reception, then cross over the lobby to get to guest rooms. A little bit of a hassle but not too bad. Bathroom door wouldn't stay open and it was hard to open the closet as there were no door handles but everything else was up to standard in the rooms.
JjudaeaThe hotel's location is superb, a quiet haven amidst the city's buzz, with Shinjuku's main commercial area within walking distance. Airport bus stops and subway stations are also just a few minutes' walk away.
As expected, the hotel's cleanliness was up to Japanese standards. The service was attentive; upon check-in, the air conditioning had already been turned on, creating a comfortable environment. Toiletries provided were from P*OLA, and other personal care items were available for self-collection.
Highly recommended; it will be my top choice for my next stay.
GGuest UserThe overall location is quite good, just a 2-minute walk from Akihabara JR Station. There’s a Family Mart, Denny’s, and McDonald’s downstairs, so it’s very convenient to grab food quickly at any time.
Although the room isn’t large, which I believe is a characteristic of Tokyo, it is clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The entire journey would have ended pleasantly until we encountered a bald, tall male front desk clerk in the lobby. He did two things that made guests’ impressions of the hotel plummet.
If you can’t recognize him from my description of his appearance, there’s another way—he is the most passive-aggressive service staff member I’ve encountered in all of Japan.
First: We lost a room key. We admitted it directly at checkout and were willing to accept any form of compensation. He stated that we needed to pay 2000 Yen, and while we were taking out the money, he couldn’t resist making a few passive-aggressive remarks. It was as if guests coming for a vacation needed to accept his accusations and moral judgments.
The second incident: We checked out on the morning of the 5th and indicated that we would be checking in again on the 6th (we went to Fuji that night). The hotel staff saw our reservation for the 6th in the system and directed us to store our luggage in the storage room next to the elevator. When we checked in on the afternoon of the 6th, we suddenly found that our luggage was missing. At that point, we encountered the bald clerk again. He said to us: “Why didn’t you tell us you were storing your luggage for more than one day?”
We expressed our confusion and explained it kindly. I’m not sure if he had a comprehension issue or just wasn’t thinking clearly, but he kept insisting, “You should have told us in advance next time.” This request seemed to suggest to the guests: “Yes, we’re unprofessional, but so what? You could remind us. Since you didn’t remind us, it’s your fault. Please remind me next time that I’m unprofessional!”
I don’t understand why the hotel system has information displayed yet the hotel still makes mistakes. Guests check into hotels for vacation, not to endure his moral judgments and accusations. It seems like making people feel miserable is the goal and attitude of his work.
This otherwise nice hotel loses significant points because of this employee, which is really unfortunate.
MM229235****The location is fantastic, super close to Higashi-Ginza Station – literally just 2 meters away! The hotel offers a pillow menu, complimentary pajamas, and a daily onsen (hot spring bath), meaning you don't have to squeeze into a tiny in-room shower. These thoughtful amenities alone make it a truly worthwhile choice! In the evenings, there's a complimentary welcome bar offering a variety of drinks to sample at your leisure, which definitely adds a fun touch to your trip. Plus, a Yoshinoya is conveniently located just about ten meters from the hotel entrance, ideal for grabbing a late-night gyudon after a long day of shopping. What a great bonus!
YyidamAs it's a Japanese-style room, they've opted for a rather long entrance hall, which unfortunately makes the bedroom feel a bit cramped. However, despite the compact size, it's incredibly well-equipped. All essential amenities are provided, and even the bathroom isn't small, making it perfectly sufficient for a solo traveler to relax and unwind.
Right outside the hotel, there's a vibrant array of eateries, somewhat akin to Chinese street food stalls, making the evenings very lively. Plus, it's conveniently close to the subway station.
The top floor boasts a public bath and sauna, while the lounge area provides a free ice machine and complimentary ice cream. They even offer a free bowl of soba noodles in the evenings, which collectively makes it truly excellent value for money.
Self-service laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are also available on the top floor. You'll need to ask staff to activate them, and there's a charge for the dryer.
GGuest UserThe hotel was absolutely fantastic! It's compact but incredibly well-equipped, having everything you could possibly need. The staff provided excellent service, and there was a great variety of breakfast options in the morning. In the evenings, you could even unwind with a relaxing bath and a drink. I had initially worried the hotel's location might be a bit out of the way, but it turned out to be incredibly convenient during our stay. There's a Family Mart right downstairs, and nearby you'll find a subway station, Don Quijote, various beauty stores, and a plethora of delicious food options. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tokyo!
AAnonymous UserWas a good location to stay and it fitted our purpose. Natural light was not much in the room as we stayed in the centurion hotel the older building, so I guess the reception on the opposite side of the building where we stayed could have had better rooms (aka centurion vintage)
The staff are very courteous and the speak good English and very accomodating and courteous.
Try avoiding to stay opposite the laundry and microwave room on 02nd floor which is room 201 as the smell of the food can travel into your rooms when the microwave is being used.
TTravelinait is a cool experience! you could have a sleep tracking and analysis, they monitor your sleep while you are in. men and women are separated. so we book first the women and then the male capsels
DDratinaThe outside of the building is huge. There are so many amenities to choose from at reception. Definitely gives the impression its a 4* hotel. When I got into my room I could see rust and marks in the bathroom, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I wasn't pleased that the WiFi kept cutting out constantly. Now I got the impression it was a 2-3* hotel. Room service was excellent until the last night when they forgot to leave a night dress. The location is excellent, very close to the station and surrounded by shops. There's an amazon locker close by which helps with my online shopping addiction lol. I forgot to take a picture of the hotel and the amazing view but I got one of the symbol in the front garden.
GGuest UserService initially was slightly abrupt but I would imagine they have a lot of people there that walk straight in with shoes on. However that changed drastically and they were very nice and super helpful every step of the way.
Lockers are small but they allow you to store your bag with them behind the counter.
Facilities offered are absolutely fantastic. Hot tub, cold tub, showers, balcony, chill room and more.
The pod is a great experience and will try again without any doubt.
Fantastic value for money!
