The Met Hotel

First of all I was shocked and very worried that I arrived from Brisbane by train at 11pm and the hotel is closed when I reached then I have to contact the number provided on the door. It was late at night and I called then no answer then I also iMessage the hotel. During the time being I rushed to find any open hotels as an alternative but some of them have the same system as well. Good thing and I’m relieved that there was an iMessage from the hotel instructing me to enter the hotel. Glad that they replied to me late at night. The next morning I was rudely awoken by the hotel staff to leave the room at 10AM sharp!

I really liked this little hotel, it was quiet and the location was really good. We had easy contact with the reception ( called a number). Important for guests to know that the entrance is around the side/back of the building. We stayed one night but slept very good. Downside is shared bathroom but its not the end of the world

The corridor smells of smoking. Room floors are covered with dirt. Doesn't look like it has been cleaned in weeks. Same with the cloth hangers, covered by dirt. Cockroaches crawl onto the bed. Dirty marks on pillow cases. No air con. No bathroom in room. On street parking only. Probably worth $50 per night.

It’s advertised with a cafe but it’s been locked up unused a while, this should be updated as it gives a very false idea about the property.

It was comfortable for one night. Being a Saturday night other guests in the hotel were very noisy between 10pm and 2am disturbing my sleep. Showers and toilets were clean.

Unpleasant cigarette smoking smell lingered in the room. Sinks rusted, stained, door wont unlock. Wooden door entrace chipping. Shared toilets unpleasant. Getting in the building in the alley way, gave me a big scare.. paid to stay for two nights. Left after 2 minutes upon checkin. Tried a refund, for the second unused night, not approved.

Met was super clean. Good stay for travellers. Quite noisy though but price is very good.

Hi there, just wondering what phone number I can call to try get my money back as the stay I booked for me and my partner and my mum and dad, we really were unsatisfied for the money we paid, the beds were dirty with stains on the bed sheets and full of black looking dog hair or people’s ***** and that is really sad for the money we paid for the night! I’d like to talk to someone for a refund for the night as that is very disappointing!
