Days Inn by Wyndham Topeka

The clerk at the desk was sweet and tried to do her best for me. The condition of the room however needed help. There was old cardboard under the appliance cabinet. There was peeling paint on the shower walls. The shower mat was stained. The floor was dirty in the bathroom all around the edges. The seat and lid for the toilet was loose. The tile in the bathroom was poorly installed and due to that held dirt in the gaps. It also took about 15 minutes of running the shower before the water temp got hot. The indoor pool was closed and there is no hot tub that was advertised on *******. The reason I give 3 stars is for the price it isn't a horrble place to spend the night. I've slept in much worse. The beds were clean, the fridge worked, and the clerk gave me a bagged breakfast so I didnt leave hungry. It's not her fault I couldn't eat it given it was all carbs and I'm diabetic.

This trip I met the owner and managers who are all very professional and anxious to please. I especially appreciated Zach, who is the maintenance supervisor, for his zeal and helpfulness.

The property needs to improve cleaning both inside and outside, around the property there are a lot of trash.

I think I stayed at this particular days in about 3 years ago. While the building is in decent shape and the layout is the same, it has gone downhill because of the management. When I walked in the front door it was fine but it just looked older, if you've ever been in motels and hotels you understand the difference between outdated and older and this just felt older. The staff was okay, they were very accommodating and helpful. When I went to my room, the door lock worked I walked in the place it seemed very sparse but that's okay. What I didn't like, was the fact that the air conditioning did not work. That was fine because I had to go out anyway and since I didn't leave anything in the room I could go ahead and just tell them at the front desk and they could go in fix it and come back later. While I was standing over the air conditioning system, I noticed my foot was sliding, yes sliding! I figured it was a fluke. I was dead wrong! I ended up walking around different parts of the flooring and I could slide all over in the room. Very strange. I believe it is because they have mopped it with something like Pine-Sol that leaves a residue and that's all they do is mop and mop and mop as a quick mop to get the floor clean for the next people, but all they're doing at this point is making it slippery. The staff didn't seem to care.

Ok stay The room was fine but the hallway floor needs some vacuuming and people were smoking in the halls

No hot tub, pool closed, EXTREMELY noisy, no breakfast at all.
