Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre by IHG

Very comfortable. The hotel is well-located, the room and bathroom are reasonably sized, clean, and odor-free. The bed is especially comfortable, and there's plenty of hot water for showering. The bedroom window can be opened to a limited extent, providing good natural light and ventilation. There were no extra charges during my stay. However, it's unreasonable that I had to pay a deposit again with my credit card for continuous stays under different bookings (each booking was for 3 nights), as the deposit couldn't be transferred to the new booking. I'm a member of this hotel, and I have another new booking for a continuous stay, so do I have to pay a deposit a third time?

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. There's a great Hunan restaurant nearby. The rooms are very clean, and they have a laundry room with commercial-grade washers and dryers that are fast and efficient.

This hotel is located near the College station on Yonge Street, just four stops from Union Station, and also very close to the University of Toronto and the Eaton Centre. There's a supermarket if you turn left outside the hotel. For Chinese guests, I'd recommend T&T Supermarket, though you'll need to search for it on a map yourself. The breakfast wasn't good, but the hotel facilities are new and there's a swimming pool. On the second floor, you'll find a microwave and a laundry room, though the laundry room requires payment by credit card. There's also a casino shuttle bus downstairs that goes directly to Niagara Falls, you can inquire about it yourself.

We had a twin room, and it was quite small, but the 1.35m beds were decent. The shower water pressure, however, was absolutely unacceptable – it was so low that a woman washing her hair would easily take 40 minutes to rinse it properly. You can just imagine how weak it was! The hotel's location is excellent. We didn't use public transport, but there's a station right outside the hotel, which is super convenient. You can walk to all the city's attractions, which was great fun. The only downside is being in the city center; there's constant noise from police sirens, ambulances, or fire trucks. Initially, the price was 3.5K per night, but then it suddenly dropped to 1.5K. I'm not sure why, but it worked out well for us.

The service, amenities, and dining all meet a certain standard. It only takes about 25 minutes to drive from the airport to the hotel, yet the hotel is located in the city center. I stayed in room 408 and initially thought it might be noisy being on a lower floor, but it turned out to be quite good. A special shout-out goes to Ms. Monira from housekeeping; whenever I returned, she had already quietly tidied and cleaned the room perfectly. What's even more impressive is that she would arrange my belongings according to my habits, which is incredibly thoughtful and personalized. She is a very responsible and meticulous employee. I will definitely choose Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre by IHG again next time I visit my daughter in Toronto.

The room was very clean, and the hotel's location is convenient, being very close to the subway station. Although the room window faced the road, the soundproofing was excellent. There are convenience stores and restaurants around the hotel, which is quite convenient for business travelers.
