Ilunion Palmanova Mallorca

Amazing stay at Illunion Palmanova Mallorca. The hotel is in a convenient location and the food was great.

Pros: Pools were all good, floaties allowed, plenty sun loungers to go round Kids entertainment brilliant, Sally is fantastic Location perfect plenty of things around Cons: Blokes on reception desk very ignorant and rude made us feel so unwelcome on check in and any other queries we asked there after Restaurant is total carnage Food not labelled Rooms were so small family of 4 felt so cramped Cleaners don’t change the beds just the towels Air con not the best and we have all ended up poorly Uk GP says likely some sort of virus we came away with high temps and coughs No alcoholic drinks allowed apart from at meal times. Lovely beaches near by and plenty of places to eat out, we enjoyed the flying Scotsman for breakfast! Wouldn’t stay in this hotel again.

This is the 4th time returning to this hotel and the takeover of the hotel has impacted the hotel badly. Unfortunately, the food used to be amazing with so much choice but now it is very repetitive and bland and lacks variety. The vibe has gone which is sad as we loved coming here. We love Palma though so will return but not to this hotel. The staff work hard, Sally is great at the activities and kids stuff. The cleaners and other staff do a great job Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like management appreciate them!

Location is good for the beach and for walking down to local bars and restaurants. That's as good as it gets. The room is disappointing. Beds moved around off the walls when separated into 2 single beds as requested on the booking, air conditioning doesn't work properly, blowing warm air, maintenance called to resolve but remained the same after their visit. No coffee in the room only teabags, if you want coffee I was told you had to upgrade the room. No milk either. Was told i could collect from the bar if I wanted it and if I want a coffee I can get one at 7.30am when breakfast is open. Not even a bottle of water in the room. Cleaners didn't clean the cups, remove used glasses or empty the ashtray. Bathroom mirrors were also not cleaned and full dirty marks. When the cleaner was asked to do what had been missed they claim they don't understand as they dont speak English. Restaurant is like a cattle market. No drinks served as was supposed to be, wasnt offered a drink at all. Lack of labels on the food so unsure what things were and again when you asked them what things were, they dont understand and don't speak English. Poor quality tasteless food. One of the lifts didn't work consistently and we were stuck in the lift on the 1st day. Had a fall in the restaurant due to food spilt and left on the floor and now have a sprained ankle. Asked at reception for a feedback form but was refused to give it to me as they said they would rather I spoke with the manager. The hotel has cost £250 a night and is supposed to be a 4*, it barely meets a 3 star...... even a 3 star hotel has coffee and milk available in the room. Poor poor poor. Save your money and book a self catering apartment, as this as an all inclusive option is dismal. Looking forward to checking out as much as I looked forward to checking in before I was met with the reality of what the Ilunion hotel offered. Disappointing doesn't quite explain the experience we have had/ are having

Don't listen to bad reviews!! Been back 3 days we arrived 14th July at 2.30pm as a family of 8 reception staff were so welcoming and sorted us our rooms quickly, the hotel is immaculate the rooms are a great size and again immaculate the cleaners are in everyday and are so friendly. Pool is lovely plenty of sun loungers also another shallow pool and baby pool area. Food is great even though we was all inclusive we did eat out a lot in the evenings been so close to Palma and magaluf which I found the restaurants on there beach front were stunning. Overall we had a great time at hotel illunion, thankyou 😊

Overall a decent stay, and truthfully you get what you pay for - it’s somewhere between average and good. Positives Great selection of pools for family’s Ample number of sunbeds Clean inside and well presented Decent selection of food for dinner Friendly staff Negatives Air con in rooms is OK - does the job, but in a small family room it can be barely noticeable WiFi is inconsistent across the hotel - obviously strong in the hotel, but outside we were lucky to have it by the smaller pool and splash pool Food not labelled so not sure what is what Lifeguards are jobsworths - too hot on the silly things, but not always paying attention. For example my husband moved a subbed into the sun but was asked to move it back, even though it made little to no difference, merely a yard to the right. Overall, this hotel is OK - it is clean, it is staffed well and does the job, but it’s not outstanding or amazing. We knew coming the situation in regards to payment for alcohol etc, but this also includes some food and ice creams. I think all-inclusive is too strong a word, as it would’ve been nice to have some selection of local alcohol for the inclusion, as well as some ice creams. Not sure we would return, but also not disappointed.

We were worried when we read the recent reviews but we were quickly reassured by the lovey staff that this was a family hotel. They had a short situation where there were some bad reviews due to a younger crowd but it wasn’t the norm. My 10yr old and 5 year old boys loved it. Lovely pool and all round entertainment for the little ones, Sally and Andreas were so engaging with the children and there was options for families to get involved. Lovely pool and atmosphere, Food was great lots of options and it was a great environment, felt warm and relaxed. We went 4-11 July and it was quieter than we expected but started getting busier over the last days, to be expected. Clean. The staff were always cleaning and helping. Great location very close to a lovely beach and 15 min walk to others. When we checked out we were offered a room to shower and freshen up as we had a late flight so that was perfect when we had the whole day there. They also let us help ourselves to facilitates, food. We did all inclusive but plenty of places to eat close by. A great memory For a family 🙂
