The Retreat at The Island on Lake Travis

So much potential! However, neglect of even simple things appear to be downward spiraling this property. pools need attention, trash items just left behind and not picked up for days. Cobwebs in the stairwells and public areas. A few maintenance people with proper management and this property could easily be five stars. It’s a large aging property but plenty of life left in it, if things started getting addressed. We enjoyed the stay but could have been much better with a little more effort from management.

I've been here a year and I would never own a unit. Buyers beware, the AC which is controlled by the association has been out for more time than it has worked, there is no solution for this. It's running on some archaic pump in the lake that divers have to come out and fix every time it rains, they claim this is an act of god and that there's nothing to be done. I'm sorry but your poor planning and implementation isn't an act of god. This shows in other areas as well, the Board who's operating this place are cheap and the place is rotting from the foundation(hyperbole). 1 Pool has been drained and empty for months, SPA jets at the other haven't worked in months. Last week a unit down from us came and knocked on our door to ask if we had heard anything - their door had been kicked in. Another unit had their car charger cable cut by a person who doesn't live here and wasn't visiting here. A former resident.
