Hotel Lario is a great option for Lake como. It offers breakfast buffet and also dinner. It has a nice pool as well.

Ideal location in Tremezzo in the Golden Triangle, within walking distance of two of the most popular villas - Balbianella and Carlotta! Nearby is the C10 bus stop in Como and a grocery supermarket, and the distance from the ferry is about 1.5 km. The view of the lake is amazing, just a delight! Even despite the noisy road, at night with the windows closed it’s very ok) In front of the hotel there is a very nice garden and there is a working, clean swimming pool. The service and staff are very pleasant, sympathetic, friendly, they quickly resolve and answer all questions, and you can also leave your luggage until the evening. Cleanliness in the rooms, in the hotel itself and in the restaurant. The linen and towels are fresh, white, unwashed. The mattresses on the bed are just a little hard for my taste) The breakfast is varied, fresh and plentiful, constantly replenished until it's finished, even the coffee from the coffee machine is good. There are fruits, eggs, yoghurts, cold cuts, sweets and baked goods, as well as hot dishes. Food and drinks can be taken out to outdoor tables or taken into your room. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, and the bar is open 24 hours a day - it’s very pleasant to order a glass of prosecco upon returning late in the evening from a walk) The rooms are small, but two people can easily move apart, but the bathroom is spacious with a good toiletry set. Definitely recommend - price/quality for a budget hotel 10/10!

Location spectacular. Food😒 this was probably a villa in the past. The hotel is dated and if you complain the staff take it personally which is a shame. It’s super clean . Rooms are typically European holiday rooms . Breakfast is basic. Gray location though. Wouldn’t return

I had read some awful reviews before coming so was a bit worried about what we should expect. Thankfully it was nowhere near as bad as other reviewers have found, in our opinion. Let’s start with the food. It was a bit hit and miss. There were some lovely dishes which funnily enough were the pasta dishes, especially lasagne and meatballs. Wish we had a pasta option every night. However one night we had pork, a few fries and lettuce! Oh dear…that wasn’t good. Breakfast was fine, but generally the same everyday. Some extra pastries and yoghurts would be nice. The staff were excellent in general. All friendly and loved it when you complimented the food. I had asked for a balcony and lake view, with a higher floor. We were put on floor 4. Great view of the lake but not a usable balcony as it was more an outdoor space where you couldn’t sit. Was very disappointing but the view was fantastic. Our tv was supposed to have bbc 1 and 2. Wouldn't normally bother but we wanted to watch the world cup matches. Took 4 days to fix with a reminder. Still not great reception and was so small, it wasn't worth it in the end. The lift broke, took 2 days to fix, but i guess that is Italy. The hotel isn’t very central but has some conveniences nearby and a bus stop. The bus times are estimates due to the busy road. But the C110 takes you to Menaggio in 10 minutes, worth giving it a go. We didn’t find the noise a problem, it wasn’t too loud. Would we go again, probably not but that is down to location. If there were more amenities nearby we would be happy to. The room was large as was the bathroom, great space. There was a kettle too. Not all power points worked which was annoying but we managed.

Located about one hour (traffic can be an issue) from Como served by an hourly bus on a busy road made noisier by the buzz of Vespas. This can impact of converation whilst enjoying the front garden. Rooms at the rear are unaffected. The hotel has 4 floors (one lift) plus an underground car park. There is a pool with sunbeds and sun shades - the hotel will charge you 3 euro for an extra towel. Dining areas are substantial and all bedrooms have A/C, a small but pleasant balcony, seperate shower, WC and bidet, hairdryer and heated towel rail. Standard USB ports and power points are enough. Bar prices are fair for a hotel in this location. 8 euros buys you a half litre draught lager. The wine list varies from 20-35 euros a bottle. With a short walk towards Como there is a small supermarket, an excellent bakery and a couple of bars. The other direction leads you to a good restaurant and a bar, Further afield there is more of the same and a 15 minute stroll alongside the lake opens up more options for food and drink. Be aware that pavements appear to be optional in this part of Italy

Firstly the trips which were included were great We booked through Newmarket travel. Been with them loads of times all.around Italy this was by far the worst. A cruise on Lake Como, to Bellagio. A trip on the Bernina express. An extra trip.to Luggano All good The hotel was. Another matter altogether. Mould in the rooms. Leaking showers.no heating, no tv. The staff though polite were as welcoming as a cold. The somelier wouldnt know how to smile if his life depended on it Spent many nights rolling his eyes as everything was an effort. . The food was inedible at night pork or fish both not very good sometime not recognisable. Potatoes were rock hard. Breakfast was continental so you would think that could not go wrong - if only. A toaster that toasted one side. Coffee/tea Iuke warm no water on the table was told that tap water was not allowed - no alternative given. We didn't make the one paid trip as came down with upset stomach. No refund offered. Had to.ask if there was possibility as was £43.00 but was given a shrug as an answer Apparently the Hotel Mario and Newmarket are aware of.the complaints but have done noting to rectify The hotel is in middle of nowhere and the buses come.when they want People on.our trip had to.sleep in Rooms with a strong smell of bleach to rectify mould only they day before they left

This hotel is located in such a pretty area on the lake, there’s a long stretch that takes you to a few restaurants and a beautiful park. The ferry dock is also just a 15 minute walk away, very easy to get to. Rooms were kept very clean, good sized and the view was lovely on the mountain side. Staff are friendly and happy to help with anything. The only downside for us was the food, on our first night we ordered and it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive and it wasn’t the best quality. We went out each night after that. However, breakfast is perfectly fine. We would stay here again!

Lovely hotel and grounds. We had a room on the 3rd floor with two balconies affording us stellar views of the mountains and lake. The rearward facing balcony was quiet and peaceful. We through the doors open and had a lovely breeze all evening. The pool is lovely and there were plants of lounge chairs for reading and relaxing + two showers. We don’t eat at the hotel but great coffee is just down the street and there are a few restaurants in either direction. Beds we comfy, albeit twins. Altogether a lovely property.
