Hotels near Sober Island, Trincomalee

We vacationed with our family in August. We loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They responded to all our requests and tried to help. The hotel was clean. The showers were warm. The breakfasts were standard. You won't go hungry. Nilaveli Beach is about 400-500 meters from the hotel. It's along the road, so it's not a big deal. We stayed for two days and didn't experience any discomfort. We recommend the hotel for a couple of days.

I thought it was a hotel, but it's more like a B&B. The price is a bit high, there are not many rooms, and the location is quite remote, but the scenery is OK, and the food is really, really delicious.

This excellent hotel is really a resort. It is off the beaten path, but worth the extra travel time to get there. The staff are very friendly and the food at both restaurants is very good. There is easy access to the beach and it’s quiet. We were there for new years. I highly recommend it!

The hotel gave a lot of surprises. The performance after sunset was very ceremonial, with strong Sri Lankan local dances and songs, allowing you to immerse yourself in the teardrop of the Indian Ocean.

Very nice hotel with good service! Swimming pool, air conditioning, good wifi and friendly staff.

Great place, nice people, highly recommended!

Overall, it's a good place: spacious rooms, 30 meters from the endless, deserted beach (through the grounds of the neighboring resort). You can use the resort's sun loungers. Breakfasts were excellent. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The staff was polite and helpful. Any issues that arose were resolved promptly. The main problem was upon check-in, when the owner said he couldn't see my reservation. It turned out his infrastructure was tailored exclusively to Booking.com and Agoda. It was a bit of a bummer...

The Sunstar hotel is very nice and clean, with the pool area. The hotel was about 10 min walk from the stunning Nilaveli beach. The staff at the Sunstar Hotel were very friendly and accommodating, making sure that all of our needs were met throughout our stay. Overall, I would highly recommend the Sunstar Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Nilaveli.

Spacious apartment, perfect location next to the beautiful beach of Nilaveli. Several restaurants and activity centers close by. We loved it!

Маленький домик на пляже. Местоположение просто мечта. Но при заселении нас не ждали. В домике плохо пахло и летали мухи. Ночью бегали мыши. Из приятного постоянно слышны волны
