Magical stay From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the fantastic location of Trysil SkiStar Resort. The slopes are simply unbeatable, catering to skiers of all levels, especially intermediate. The ski instructors are top-notch, offering both fun and technical guidance. Special shoutout to Matilde, whose instruction pushed us to new heights and made every day extra special. Beyond the slopes, the resort's amenities are superb. The swimming facilities are beautiful, and the well-equipped gym provided a perfect complement to our skiing adventures. We particularly enjoyed the yoga classes, adding a refreshing touch to our stay. While the games room could have been more affordable, the simple Nordic design of the rooms, along with essential kitchen amenities, ensured a comfortable and convenient stay. Plus, the proximity to a supermarket made meal planning a breeze. Nevertheless the booking for dinner is only 6:30 which is too early or 8:30 . I’d would have been nice to have had room service to empty bins, make bed etc as this didn’t happen. SkiStar Resort food quality was good but , we couldn't help but feel that a wider selection of options would have enhanced the dining experience. Nevertheless, the available choices were of nice quality, ensuring a satisfying start to our days on the slopes. The ski-in, ski-out convenience at Trysil SkiStar Resort is an absolute game-changer. Being able to effortlessly transition from our accommodations to the slopes made our ski experience incredibly smooth and enjoyable. It's a convenience that truly sets this resort apart. The sheer volume of snow at Trysil SkiStar Resort is simply staggering! With snow piled high as far as the eye can see, it's a skier's dream come true. One of the days was too wild as we did encounter a blizzard. The abundance of snow on the ground at Trysil SkiStar Resort added an extra layer of magic to our skiing adventure. With pristine powder all around, every run down the slopes felt like a true winter wonderland experience. It's a snowy paradise for any ski enthusiast. Cant wait to return Make sure to bring balaclava

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of Feb.We really enjoyed our visit. We had half board and ate at the buffet restaurant which we found the staff to be very professional and friendly at breakfast and especially dinner.we would like to praise the male spanish dinner waiter especially ,as he gave us advice about the resort and northern light chances ,unfortunately we didn't see any on our visit. The Stabben restaurant we also found the staff and food very good. The Luca restaurant was very limited options on half board and staff a bit cool . Our daughter had a problem with severe pain with her ski boots , the ski rental staff at the hotel were brilliant and patient trying to resolve the problem, it turned out it was a foot issue not a boot issue and she ended up going to a sports physio and getting insoles made .This did not resolve it much but enabled her to ski somewhat and will get trea**ent at home. The skiing was great and some runs truly magical, but the abundance of button/t bar drag lifts took a bit of getting used to ,shame they can't be updated to chair lifts in places. Our rooms weren't made daily but the one bin in the bathroom was emptied daily , could do with another really. Our first trip to Norway but won't be our last .

I’ve been coming to this Hotel since 2018 and keep coming back because I love Norway and I like Trysil I would recommend to anyone who likes cross country or skiing The apar**ents are a little bit outdated and they could do with a refurbishment to bring them up to date it’s a family hotel What I like to is a bakery at the hotel I would like to see the ski lockers update for smartphones to unlock them like the apar**ent have now This is not meant to be a 1-5 star hotel if that’s what you are expecting It’s meant for skiing and relaxing with your family or friends in the evening

Great ski area hotel geared up for young families. Everything involves extra cost. . Rooms not cleaned in 5 days and bins not emptied. Odd set up apar**ents but nearest shop 25 minute walk each way in -12. Lodge offers very little in terms of shop. Unable to meet allergy dietary needs in restaurant. despite advising in advance and dismissive when asked about food allergens. Ended up not eating. Asked about gluten chef laughed pointed at pasta. Chef Didn’t know what sauces were thickened with. Shell fish in centre of buffet and no labelling of main dishes so hard to guess. Desserts very limited Asked for manager twice no response. No tea/coffee in rooms. Food would not meet 2star and if you arrive later for food it has run out or cold. Twin room bunks only suitable for children. And rooms very small. Poor communication from staff. Great ski in/out better suited to beginners. Home of the button lift. Ski lockers busy and not cleaned same rubbish on floors for 5 days.

I've booked for myself to get a time off from home. The hotel is nice and tidy however most of the services have to be booked extra which seems like an unnecessary effort for guests of the hotel itself. Elswise the food is great and the spa is relaxing. A great and easy solution if booked in advance

I spent two days here in the last opening week of the ski resort. Ski in ski out. 2700 NOK for a room with a balcony. (For two days). The balcony pointed north. Sun from around 4 PM. Excellent. Spacious room. Very nice. Didn`t use any of the amenities at the hotel. I`m writing this review because I got to check in at 9 AM. (The hotel was not busy at the time.) Very much appreciated.

There is nothing to say other than excellent. We visit the hotel every year and will be back time and time again. The only downside is the beds - the mattresses are not really mattresses but thin toppers and the base of the bed is far too soft. not good for those who need a medium to firm bed.

Super location with ski in/out and a wide range of downhill slopes and cross country tracks. You will find everything you need, from sports shops, ski and bike rental, grocery, cafés and restaurants in the area. Friendly staff, nice room and high capacity at the ski lifts with very little ques. As an improvement the hotel should improve their capability to plan for meeting simple customer request well ahead of the visit instead of dealing with such when arriving. Mori restaurant was a nice food surprise, but the interior should be modernized.

Perfect location. Like having the closets for the skis, close to the slopes. The spa is nice. The gym way too small though. The trea**ents could be somewhat better explained in the spa menu. Same goes for the massages. Also there should be more and longer massages available. One would for instance think that ppl would be interested in leg and feet massages after a day in the slopes. The suite was really nice. However, got super warm during the day. Nice with the coffees and teas in the room. Don’t understand why you are having these small bottles of shampoo etc in the bathroom. Its not very environmentally friendly. One would think that as expensive the suite is, the dishwasher could be filled in and out by the daily cleaner. But they only took out the trash. Changing the bed linen every day was totally unnecessary. So environmentally unfriendly as well
