Wow! Beautiful lodge, beautiful people, beautiful animals & beautiful stay. First time in Africa, first time doing safari and would come back in a heartbeat. The staff here were absolutely incredible people, so so kind, welcoming & warm. Always happy to see you. They were very helpful with my mum who is registered blind and helped us around. We stayed in club wing 9 room which is the furthest away room so slightly far out from reception / bar etc but we made do. There are no windows in these rooms just mesh so you can hear everything from outside (bugs, birds, people) but you expect this with a safari experience. Rooms are nice and spacious, a net curtain around the bed to help with mosquitos. Club wing has a private pool which is nice however the sunbeds are not comfortable as they are S shaped and no cushions. Shower pressure is quite poor and takes long time to get hot. Breakfast / lunch / dinner all served in main buffet restaurant, similar choices each day and not a massive selection however as only there for a few days it was ok! Mainly curry, stews etc but had a pasta station. Drinks were cheap in respect to GBP and we spent £90 there for 3 nights on drinks (full board) also the cocktails are very good!! Little gift shop on site but otherwise nothing nearby so make sure you bring all essentials with you like medication, sanitary products, toiletries. Edwin (manager) made us feel very welcome and spoke to us by our names each meal, this was generally how all staff addressed us and it was lovely. Can’t remember others names but so many nice staff. There’s a tip box in reception so make sure you use it! We ran out of cash so asked reception to do cash back to ensure we left money to the team for an excellent stay. Had a sundown experience in the park which was lovely as well as 2 dinners in the ‘gazebo’ which was à la carte & tasty. Would 10000% recommend this place to anyone looking to do safari. We saw lions, elephant, zebra, giraffe, antelope, gazelle, impala, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo’s & more -honestly 10/10. Expect early mornings and tiredness but so worth it. Pools were nice & had view of the dam (elephants and giraffes walked past)
