Home2 Suites by Hilton Tucson Downtown

The soundproofing in the rooms isn't great; it's best to choose a room on the top floor (6th floor). However, the hotel's location is excellent, very close to the tram stop for UA. The surrounding area is nice, and there's a church across the street that you can visit.

HILTON, at one time, signified reliable excellence.  The reputation was a significant factor in my choosing Hilton. My, how the mighty have fallen.   There was no one to help with my luggage.  The front desk staff were,  hmmm, let me think of a polite word for BITCHES.  Nevert mind, that's what they were.   The room was not as pictured.  The room itself was decent enough for a discount long term stay but not for those looking for more than just decent.   However, the little omelettes were good, the potatoes well prepared, and the yoghurt (if you overlooked the way it is dispensed) was more than adequitely supplied with condiments.  

It's a few blocks from downtown, but it's still within walking distance and the view of the church in front is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and polite, and the rooms are spacious and clean.
