An older complex recently taken over new owners, and in the process of upgrading, with more to do to reach the standard travellers expect these days!

The room is small but clean, especially the bathroom is very good and has plenty of hot water. Staying in Turangi is the TAC line that crosses Tongariro for one day, which is close to the parking lot at the end point. The enthusiastic and thoughtful host helped arrange a vehicle to take us to the starting point of the hike, allowing us to have a perfect one-day hike. Thank you very much, and we will stay here again when we have the opportunity. The landlord is a Chinese and has easy communication. He also hopes that more compatriots will come to climb the mountain.

Arrived to find major building work in progress which did not finish until about 9pm. Required to park at front because builders truck was allocated to builders truck and consequently had our car window smashed and broken into along with two other guests cars overnight. Staff very aplogetic and helpful but would not have booked if we knew about the building work which recommenced at 8am next morning (Sunday). Overall a very negative experience and we drove back to Wellington with no window.

A place to call home if your passing through or on a short stay. The manager was extremely friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean, tidy & spacious, with good facilities.
Would stay again & recommend to others.

Stayed two nights and this place met our needs. The staff was friendly and the room had the essentials. It was within walking distance of the main town area.
It's definitely a budget stay and to an extent you get what you pay for - rooms were somewhat dated and minimalist, but I was happy with the experience. Would stay again.

Very nice people who run the place. The unit we stayed in was in the back. We checked in late, but the owners were very accommodating! We liked the nice bathroom, and comfy bed. Great spot for as stopover. Looks like new improvements were being made on site, with some new construction. My guess is it will be a really great place to stay! Would recommend. =)

The Judges Pool Motel had basic accommodations, but everything was clean and comfortable with a nice kitchenette.
And the hosts were extremely helpful and friendly.
