Hotel Astoria

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. First off, the facilities are incredibly outdated. The elevator felt like it was from the last century – ancient beyond belief. The room itself was tiny; I couldn't even fully open my suitcase. The only upside is its relatively central location, but that's really the only positive. There's nothing else good about it.

A delightful little hotel in an incredible location, just a stone's throw from Porta Nuova station. The Art Nouveau details of the building add extra value. The breakfast spread is generous, with both sweet and savory options, including excellent lemon and ginger-infused filtered water, and the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets are all nearby, as are the main attractions, which are easily reachable on foot. Overall, a very positive experience, also thanks to the highly helpful hotel staff.
