Uig Hotel

We weren’t expecting much, it looked like the whole Isle of Skye was booked out and then two rooms opened up at Uig hotel so we took them. It ended up being our most delightful stay in the UK. The view from the hotel is spectacular, and the hotel itself the most cosy, warm port in a storm (there’s almost always a storm coming on Skye). We loved it. So that was all good, but the thing that really blew us away was the food. Uig hotel is supposed to be a 3 star hotel, but the food was the best we had in Scotland. I’ve paid far more in major cities around the world for fine dining that didn’t come close to the food at Uig. From the venison steak with jus and fresh blackberries to the breakfast in the morning, we’re still talking about how good it was. We felt like we won the lottery stumbling across this little gem of a hotel. Will return.

Very nice to stay at this hotel even though we arrived at the late night. The staff were full of hospitality and the surrounding environment is really fabulous!

Great location location to visit the west part of skye. 10 minutes away from the fairy glen. Breakfast was spectacular. The Pancakes were amazing and so were the eggs with salmon. Amazing buffet aswell. It just doesn't have amenities (shampoo and body wash), so bring some.

Very nice with good supper

The hotel environment is very good, the scenery is very beautiful. The boss is also very enthusiastic! The most important thing is that breakfast is very tasty
