Desert Rock Resort

It was only photogenic, but the hospitality was the worst experience I've ever had. It was completely out of line with the price of the accommodation. The architecture is nice, but the hospitality is disappointing. I was charged twice at the restaurant, and when I pointed out the mistake, they were rude and didn't apologize. I'll never stay here again. I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for something photogenic.

We visited Desert Rock after visiting the Ritz Carlton Nujuma in the Red Sea. The Red Sea management arranged a luxury transfer service between the properties. Desert Rock is a breathtaking resort and a must-do if you are in the region. Room choice: The rooms are built into the mountainside / cliffs and each is appointed with a private pool. We booked a Cliff Hanging villa which we loved. The first one they gave us received sunlight later in the day, and in consequence the pool was not that warm, so we asked to be transferred to one with direct morning sunlight, and the pool was much warmer as a result. The cave suites looked cool too, but I felt the Cliff Hanging villas had more expansive views from the room itself. We loved spending time in our private pool with the breathtaking mountain view. We ordered food to our room several times just to maximize our time there, and also ordered Shisha. Food: The dining options are terrific and the food exceptional. Our first night we dined at Nyra which was exceptional. The second we ate at Basalt, the Indian restaurant which was delicious. Stargazing; the night sky is super clear, so there are good stargazing options. Spa; we visited the spa and had treatments. They were pretty good, and we enjoyed the facility and spa pool. Transportation: In additional to helping coordinate our transfer from the Ritz Carlton Nujuma, the hotel arranged a transfer to Allula.
