The hotel we experienced in Galle 👎🏻 I would rate it 0 if there was an option. We arrived in the evening after taking the train ride from Colombo to Galle. Here are the things which we experienced during our stay:
1. Upon check in, staff seem confused and disorganized, as well as old school style where we have to write down all information manually instead of looking up through *********** since we showed them our passports.
2. The tiny Elevator lift doesn't have the proper exhaust, when we got in, the bell boy when with us and our luggages instead of allowing us to enter first or at least go ahead of us. It was a bit awkward as we looked like sardines inside.
3. When we reached our "First" room, the bed towel design was creative but the cleanliness didn't match the whole aesthetic of the room.
4. Floors and bedsheets has visible stains.
5. Hair strands found on the throw pillow as well as the bathroom sink.
6. Molds and dusts on the sink.
7. Instead of feeling excited to use the jaccuzzi, I saw a DEAD FLY in it. HORRIBLE
8. The jaccuzzi area in the terrace was clearly visible to the lift view/ windows. A curtain would at least be suitable to cover that area.
9. The placement of the exhaust outdoor unit of the AC was terrible!! Since there are windows for the balcony all the outdoor hot air is contained. So how could you enjoy to sit there or even use the balcony when it seems like a built in sauna??
10. Since the manager was called out to check the issues of the room, we got our "Second" room as an alternative. And it still issues are there
11. The indoor unit of the AC had black dust spots. Its very visible since the wall paint were white. It seems the person assigned for the cleaning is ***** to check what's up in the ceiling
12. Since the doors has a manual lock and latch, it doesn't lock properly with the keys until you need to pull with all of your energy just so the latch will align before you could lock your door. We wasted around 10mins to figure this out.
So whoever did the cleaning of the room was not very efficient and thorough at all. Especially the Duty Manager, wasn't there any final check before releasing the room? It shows no standards, coordination and cleanliness in this place.
And whoever finished reading my review until the end, you better think twice of wasting your money here and book a good one instead.
