Ryokan Oomuraya Reviews

Drove there. Our room is located first floor with private onsen bath in the room. No shoes are allowed when you first step into the Ryokan. Slippers are provided. Staff are friendly and nice, the room is clean and spacious. Food was typical Japanese breakfast. The private in-house onsen bath was awesome but sadly on the second day, the onsen bath tub started to leak hot spring water from all sides of the bath tub and from the wall and there is no way to stop the water gushing out! As a kind gesture, the manager gave us some private time on the private onsen (require booking)

Transportation is a bit inconvenient, and Google Maps has some problems. To summarize: Take JR from Hakata Station to Takeo Onsen, then take the local bus to Ureshino Onsen Bus Stop (Google Navigation takes me to the Hot Springs Retreat Center Station, but I actually got off three stops earlier, so I walked for nearly an hour), and then walk for 5 minutes. Facilities: The room is very clean, and you can make a private bath for free, with someone waiting to lead you. Service: When I arrived, the waiter already knew my name and came out to greet me. I experienced very warm service during my stay. There are few people in the town, and there is basically no information on Dianping, but the rare thing is the quietness. You can go to the surrounding Ureshino Park for a walk and enjoy the tranquility.

The appearance of a traditional hot spring hotel hides a very modern accommodation experience. Overall it is better than expected. I don't know why the Chinese name is transliterated, which makes people a little confused. It is actually called Omura-ya 😆

The staff are courteous, the hotel's hot springs are comfortable, the spring water is special, it really has skin beautifying properties, the skin is smooth, but the dinner is just average. I walked outside the hotel at three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon. There were no tourists. Most of the shops were closed. Unlike other hot spring places such as Yufu, which has a small shopping street, I had to go back to the hotel and enjoy it.

A hot spring hotel friendly to solo travelers. The lady at the front desk wrote handwritten travel guide recommendations. You can make a reservation for the hot spring house once a day. It's really a beauty soup. My skin feels slippery after running. The town is not big, but it is very relaxing if you don’t do anything. Will go again if I have the chance. There is a lot of vinyl in the lounge on the first floor, and the owner seems to have good music taste. It’s nice to listen to music and drink some good wine at night.

If the ladies' bath is under maintenance, you can make an appointment for a private bath. The environment is very good and private. Breakfast and dinner for two days are in a fixed private room.

Very satisfied with the accommodation and travel

The hotel staff are very nice and the hot spring facilities are also good. There are not many people. You can enjoy the hot springs alone most of the time, but you are not used to sleeping too much. There are enough parking spaces.

I didn't expect a hot spring hotel to have a music bar, but there is a tube amp to listen to. It's very chilling to eat Japanese food and listen to jazz music.

The location is close to the street and parking lot, which is very convenient. Friendly staff and attentive service. The bar in the hotel is very atmospheric and people who like music and wine will like it.

Although the lack of a garden was a drawback, it was a friendly and clean ryokan. The kaiseki meal was a bit disappointing.

From Ureshino Station, just take a taxi and you'll be there. It's a small town. There is a very delicious teppanyaki restaurant near the ryokan. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with good mineral water. It's truly a traditional onsen town.
