IntercityHotel Urumqi Beijing Road Torch Tower

I stayed for two nights. The hotel is a renovated property, so there were issues with soundproofing and the drainage system. I looked at several rooms and wasn't very satisfied with any of them. The drainage system, in particular, emitted an unpleasant odor intermittently, which was even stronger on windy days. This really shows that the renovation work wasn't done properly. The service was alright; they offered a late-night snack, and breakfast was decent. I heard it's part of the same group as the Mercure next door. I've also stayed at the Mercure, and the soundproofing there is actually a bit better than at this Intercity.

Exceeded expectations! The service was great, and the hotel was clean and tidy. The wet/dry separation in the bathroom was very convenient. The Laghman noodles for breakfast were delicious, and the broth was so flavorful. There's a supermarket and restaurants downstairs, which was super convenient and the food there was good too.

My stay at the Torch Building City Intercontinental Hotel in Urumqi was truly fantastic! As soon as I entered the room, I noticed a humidifier was provided, which was such a thoughtful touch given Xinjiang's dry climate. It made for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast deserves special commendation – it was incredibly varied and delicious; you could taste the care put into every dish. The hotel staff were also very warm and attentive, providing excellent and efficient service that made me feel right at home. The overall environment is elegant, and the facilities are comprehensive. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it to everyone and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Urumqi!

It's a bit far from the subway station, but not too far to get to the airport by taxi. I was rushing for my flight so I didn't have breakfast. The front desk staff were really nice! There's a convenience store nearby and it's easy to order takeout.

The room was spacious and clean, with a well-thought-out and user-friendly design evident everywhere. My only minor complaint was the somewhat loud air conditioning unit outside my room. I really appreciated the appropriately sized bathtub with its anti-slip design, as well as the practical amenities like the body scale and humidifier.

The environment is great, but the service is the absolute best. Highly recommend, they are so thoughtful!

The biggest issue with this king room with a bathtub is its location, directly facing a large number of kitchen air conditioning units. I can't understand the design choice to place this premium room type, of which there's only one per floor, in such a spot. I booked two of these rooms. The first one on the fifth floor was directly opposite these AC units, leading to constant noise and unpleasant smells. After speaking with staff, they moved me to the eighth floor, which, while an improvement, didn't fully resolve the problem. Later that night, when I took a shower, there was a slight odor in the bathroom. The AC also had a faint strange noise; it stopped when I turned one off. I was too exhausted from sightseeing during the day to request another room change, so I just made do for five nights. Honestly, it left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.

The Urumqi Intercity Hotel was our last stop on this Xinjiang trip. The location is excellent, less than a 30-minute drive to the airport, and the surrounding area is very convenient. Both the hotel lobby and the rooms are comfortable, and the service was outstanding. They welcomed us with ice cream upon arrival and even offered a late-night snack. It's suitable for both business and leisure. Five-star rating!

The room was newly renovated. On the first night, I stayed on the 5th floor, and the bathroom was noisy. I switched to the 8th floor on the second day, which was quiet. The breakfast was plentiful. I also had dinner at the restaurant on the second floor, next to the hotel building, and the food was good.
