We stayed as a family in a quintuplet room for 5 days in December. The hotel, as other reviewers have noted, was totally refurbished about 2-3 years ago and the styling is of an old style chalet and works very well. Our room was actually two rooms with a superking double in one and a bunk and single in another with an interconnecting door. Both rooms had their own ensuite bathrooms, with the double having a slightly larger one than the other. A good breakfast was included and this consisted of croissants, bread, various hams, bacon, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, yoghurts, fruit and tea / coffees etc. We ate in the restaurant / bar one evening and had a great range of delicious tapas style dishes. The wine list was also good value. The hotel is very close (5 misn walk) to the central Solaise / Belvarde lifts and there is a good bootroom and individual lockable lockers for each room. The swimming pool on one of the upper floors was lovely and never crowded and there is a good sized steam room and (much) smaller sauna. Fluffy robes and slippers are provided. There is also a good gym (which I didn't use). Two small(ish) negative points - whilst our room had carpets the room above (rm 410) did not and the occupants seemed to return from their nights out at 2am each morning and move a lot of chairs about. Felt pads on the feet of these chairs would reduce the noise impact dramatically. Secondly I felt that the pillows were a bit on the hard side, though I guess that is one's personal taste. All in all I thought the hotel was great value, the staff were all charming and the location was hard to beat. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights as a couple for a skiing break. This hotel is lovely and on par with a 5 star hotel in london. The room was lovely we had a balcony overlooking the village with great views. Bed was comfortable shower amazing and the room was cleaned every day. Breakfast included was of a good standard, good quality small selection but absolutely fine to set us up for a days skiing. All the staff were super friendly and the ski lockers were very well situated. We used the sauna, steam room & pool twice which was a nice relaxing treat. Couldn’t fault this place, location great right in the centre.

The rooms were very small with uncomfortable pillows provided. The restaurant… self-service breakfast provided with coffee only provided out a machine. The only hot food available was scrambled eggs and bacons - and it was barely classed as hot. There was not enough staff on for service at busy times and especially at dinner; a one course meal took two and a half hours. We also complained that our steak was not cooked as requested and the restaurant manager was less than impressed.

We booked this last minute when our other accommodation didn't work out and were grateful to get the last room available. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and steam room were so welcome after a long day on the slopes. The staff were a highlight of the hotel. From check-in to the bar staff everyone made us feel welcome including organizing a breakfast at 5 am for our early transfer. We would stay here again and recommend to all.

Very nice, cozy, relaxed, small hotel with killer breakfast. 5 persons family room worked very well with 2 adults and 3 teenagers + a dog. They have nice bar and surprisingly good restaurant with great concept of charcuterie, tapas and proper grilled meat ( I.e tomahawk). Convenient location, nice little indoor pool. Great decor.

This hotel is perfectly situated splat bang in the middle of Val D. Skiset is underneath the hotel. Slopes are a very very short walk away, and you can almost ski back down into town. Pool is lovely but just inside (was told inside and outside), sauna and steam room ok size for 4 people at any one time. Rooms come with a fridge (additional cost for drinks), safe (free), coffee machine, glass bottled refillable tap water, robes, disposable slippers (bad for the environment), hair dryer, large TV (three English channels). We stayed B&B. Breakfast doesn’t cater for any dietary requirements. I am not vegan or a vegetarian. No gluten free options, veggie or vegan. I can’t have avocado and when I asked for some bread and smoked salmon without the avocado I was told ‘no’. Scrambled egg is heavily salted. Fresh orange(with bits) and apple juice at breakfast. Hotel is dog friendly. I love dogs and noticed a few about, thought nothing more of it, until I got bitten by a flea, my friend counted 12 bites on my arms and torso all from flea bits over 5 days. I asked reception and they said it’s a dog friendly room and dogs can stay in any room. This in my opinion isn’t acceptable and they should be limited to certain rooms. The dogs were also in the restaurant whilst guests were dining. The boot room is accessible from inside the hotel up two flights of stairs or the lift. However when venturing out in ski boots or returning from skiing you cant come through the hotel. You have about 20 steps (in groups of 3/5) to go up with a bit of walking in between. I’d wheel chair access is required then you can’t enter the main hotel entrance, you have to go up the side passage and use the lift. The main entrance has about 10 steps, a flat area, followed by another 10 steps before you arrive in reception. The hotel doors get locked at midnight. I’ve skied in Val D before along with most of France. Hotels always give us a key code to get in after midnight, not this hotel. As women travelling alone we should have been given a code to get in after midnight. Instead we had to buzz for reception to let us in which took several minutes leaving us feeling unsafe. No ash trays ok balcony. Breakfast upon departure should have had croissants and bottled water to take with us. Not coffee in China cups and fruit/cereal in a bowl or scrambled egg. This wasn’t helpful at 6am. Most of reception are very helpful. Some are lovely. One chap is very grumpy, he was on reception 14.01.23 at 6am. Said the hotel didn’t have bottled water in plastic bottles but his colleague gave me two at 11pm the night before (13.01.23) so I knew he was telling a tall tale. Would I return, yes, simply because of the location and pool.

Fantastic hotel. Recently fully refurbished by new owners, all very chic. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Only stayed one night but will return again for longer in the winter. Staff all very welcoming and friendly. Ignore poor reviews from pre 2021.

We stayed here for 6 days and took 2 rooms. We were very happy with this hotel in the heart of the village. A mere 5 minute walk to the slopes. near all the restaurants and shops. It has ski lockers, area to put on skis comfortably, sauna, steam room, spa and swimming pool. It was warm and cosy with extremely friendly staff. It has a lovely breakfast and cosy restaurant to relax at the end of the day with tasty dinner, desserts and drinks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable. Housekeeping very efficient. Our rooms faced the back and were very quiet.
