It is a really good place for families with small children, safe, nicely looked after, great pools, fun slides for kids, market, cafe, restaurant, bike rental, laundry facilities, gelato and candy shop in the evening. One thing that was not quite to my liking is entertainment, as I found it a bit repetitive, same songs, same dances, same animators every evening, foam party was great though. All in all, would definitely recommend, rent a car though as you will need a car to see a nearby Lake Garda towns

We spend 7 nights here and had great time!! First and for most- the pools and slides! You can’t beat it! My kids couldn’t get enough of the slides, and the padded pools are perfect for worried mom like me. The room was very nice and clean, bedrooms and restrooms are small but we were expecting this. Kitchen is great and porch was wonderful. We took pedals and did a walk along the river- what an amazing view!!! Mini golf was also great and a nice family activity. Also loved the fact you can purchase discounted tickets to Gardaland. Restaurants- we were looking for gluten free options for our kid. In the restaurant it is only frozen meals but very nice variety of packed icecream and the crew is eager to help!!! Thank you so much for a great vacation!!

Good - Swimming pools are great, bit cold but with 28 degree weather and the sun out its a good thing. I thought the on site restaurant was actually pretty good. They had some good theme nights, kids loved the foam party. Reception really helpful when you arrive, you may have to park far away but they will drive you with your luggage using a golf buggy to your accomodation. Bad - We paid for one of the nicer lodges nearer the centre, and booked directly through Hu. They are all bunched together so close you dont feel like you get any privacy. Beds arent as comfortable as advertised. I felt it was pretty small fro what I paid for. Must have been bitten 20 times or so by Nats, entire family came home with bitten legs and arms.

We booked accomodation for 7 (3 adults 2 teens and 2 kids under 8) via Eurocamp, who we had stayed with previously on parks in France. Accomodation is at best tired with lots of bits broken and not functional. Having a hot shower is a virtual impossibility with such low water pressure. Beds are tightly packed and hugely uncomfortable like sleeping on concrete. Park itself is well laid out but MASSIVELY EXPENSIVE especially the Market and Restaurant with a meal for family (5 main courses only and 2 kids meal + round of drinks) costing €180. Weve seen 3 fights early on morning over Sun Loungers as the hordes descend at 8am to secure prime spots near pool then disappear for 4 hours. Entertainment seems to be good with themed stuff most days. Pools are good albeit packed with kids. Local area is a bit sp**** with no real resturants or bars so your kind of stuck unless you want to drive.

We ended up staying here after our accommodation was cancelled due to the storm. This campsite is quite remote and a car/bus is needed from Peschiera. Taxi’s are very difficult to get & very expensive. Our mobile was basic but adequate. We were located about a 15 minute walk from the pool and centre so it was very far for us. There is no lake access on this campsite which is disappointing. Only one restaurant on-site which is pricey and service is poor. Food & drinks onsite are also expensive. Pools were surprisingly cold in the middle of summer but there are sun loungers to be got anytime of the day. Self service laundry service was good & the children rented go karts & we did a lovely walk by the river one day. If you take the back road which the campsite train goes, (continue along dirt track) it will bring you out into the village Salionze very quickly. It has some nice restaurants & a nice bar that serves Guinness & other recognised beers. We had a great day at Gardaland, Movieland & Caneva water park. Overall, I would not return to Altomincio as it’s too far away from Peschiera & you really need a car. We also found good & drinks onsite too expensive & very little options available.

We stayed nearly two weeks in Altomincio. The campsite is remote & about 6km from Peschiera town. The 482 bus runs during the summer months & will bring you to gardaland, movieland, Peschiera etc. The bus stop is about a 5 minute walk outside the campsite on the main road. Altomincio campsite does not run any shuttle buses which was very disappointing. Taxi’s are very difficult to get & it’s €25 each way to Peschiera so it’s expensive. A lot of guests on-site had cars, we didn’t unfortunately. There is only one main restaurant onsite & the service & food is average & it’s not cheap. We found the bars around the pool very expensive, €4.00 I think for a fizzy drink! The nighttime entertainment is good for children. The pools were cold even in July but we always got a sun lounger. Our accommodation was very far from the pools & restaurant & it was quite a walk. The mobile itself was clean & suited our needs although we rarely had hot water. Special word of mention for Alexssandro who works driving the karts etc. He was very helpful & professional.

This is the third camping I go from Human Company and this one is the worse. The village has so many house but the facilities are for 1/3 of the total population. It’s impossible to find a bed in the pools, the water of the pool is frozen and the house are on top of each other so it feels like sleeping in the house of the neighbors. I had a superior xl with a jacuzzi so a “fancy” one but which stinked of mold. I informed the reception that after one day we want to leave and the person didn’t even ask us why but just told us to leave the keys. Enough said with the cure is put into this village. Avoid this place!

We were 2 adults and 3 kids aged 10 - 13. This was our second visit to altomincio. The first visit 5 years ago was very positive and so we decided to return. The positives are all based on the pool areas and excellent slides, although we did find it all a bit more crowded this time around. Still, as a veteran of many campsites, they compare very favourably with anywhere else we've been. Negatives are perhaps linked to this overcrowding, basically, there's pretty much nothing else to do, so people have no option - pool or nothing. Particularly disappointing are the facilities available for sports, football, tennis, basketball, volleyball etc and the total lack of organisation around kids group activities. Having somewhere where kids can integrate organically through impromptu games is a fantastic way to keep them entertained and is available in several of the other campsite in the area. The pitches are particularly disappointing, 2 sets of goalposts on a piece of grass that is not maintained or cut, with a tree in the middle! Almost impossible to find and so far off the beaten track that the possibility of kids meeting up for an impromptu game are nil, the schedule for sporting activities as published by the park is fictional so that doesn't help. This would be an easy fix, even by maintaining the pitch to some degree, so not sure why the park doesn't do this. The other main point to make is that a car is a necessity, one would expect a shuttle bus provided by the campsite, but no, guests have to rely on public transport or taxis. A shuttle bus to peschiera with a nominal fee would be a tremendous addition here. We stayed in a hu mobile, it was clean and adequate in most ways, but from my point of view, cooking facilities were minimal, no kettle, no oven and a pointless cast iron plate bbq which didn't really increase my options, unfortunately it was 'la padella' or nothing for us, which really limited our cooking options. Overall, great pools, nice campsite but hu need to do more to make the experience better for groups with older children. It's ideal for families with kids up to 8/9, but for older kids it gets more difficult and lack of alternative activities makes entertaining them more problematic.
