We staid in this hotel two weeks ago. The owner (a lady) was not friendly at all when we checked in. Rather cold and if she was not caring about anything. My husband fell during the first day and he was bleeding on the knee, the son of the owners was sitting at the reception desk. He did not even know if there was a first aid box in the hotel, which is mandatory by law. He had to call his father to ask but they did not have any. I had to go around the whole city to find the necessary things for medication as the only pharmacy in town was closed on a Sunday. Breakfast buffet very poor, pastries were missing all the time, they did not refill the empty recipients with eggs and so on. The pictures of the hotel on their website do not reflect reality at all. We had booked a superior room which was not clean at all, very old fashioned furniture. We were very disappointed and we will for sure not be staying in this hotel anymore.

Great service! Cute family run hotel in the heart of Valkenburg! Close to everything. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it! Great breakfast and lobby bar.

We had a triple room on the ground floor, it was really spacious, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. Location is perfect, a short walk from the Christmas markets, restaurants and the Christmas caves.

Enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious, room perfect. The staff, restaurant, bar and front desk made this a memorable stay. Thank you to all.

We stayed for two nights in the new year. (Sat till Mon) We had the two worst nights ever in a hotel. Sadly, room nr #4 (second floor) is really noisy. Not only do you hear everything that happens on the stairs, also the room above (#9) can be heard very well. Saturday two young people arrived around 00:15 at night and started to play music in their room and kept hearing footsteps. There was no night clerk available so in the end I wnt up at 01:15 to attend to them because we could not sleep. Although the music was turned down we stayed awake till 02:30 because of the footsteps. Next day we complained at the reception. They apologized in a sense she could not believe it happened. But when asked they told us room #9 would not be booked and we would have a good night sleep ahead. Sadly, the next morning from 06:30 we again heard footsteps in the room and were unable to sleep again. Apparently there was a late arrival and a family of 4 including two kids were occupying room #9. On checkout, the woman at the reception did not show any understanding. She came up with excuses that it's an old building. But when I stated they should not advertise the rooms as being "soundproof", she diverted that all other rooms were. It is a really nice looking hotel and it has great jacuzzi rooms. But after paying over 450€ and not getting any understanding about the situation I find poor hospitality. The hotel was almost empty because of covid, so it feels like a wasted opportunity to have us being fed up like this. Other down-side, apparently there were issues which made it impossible to pay by card, and we were explicitly asked to visit two supermarkets and get cash for a cash payment.

From beginning to end, couldn’t fault this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were given an upgrade which was very nice and unexpected. The hotel was very well placed for the centre of Valkenburg and easy to find. Would definitely return. Well done!

Room was ok. My room had a particular bad smell that increased during the night. It became a heavy sewage smell emerging from the bathroom . Even with the windows open it would not disappear. It was not the first time as the hotel had put air fresheners in the bathroom. Another issue was water pressure. Water would burst out the faucet and then shut off. The interval was random. When I informed the reception, no apologies or compensation was offered.
