THEY WENT FROM DIRTY SHEETS TO POLICE THREATS
As soon as we arrived, we were given the wrong key to a room which (no joke) had HUNDREDS of mosquitoes—to the point we couldn’t be in the room—along with very dirty sheets and a dripping shower. We ended up switching rooms due to being unable to go into the original room because of the mosquitoes, which was all fine.
THREE days later, out of nowhere, they started accusing us for not giving back the key to the original room, which we denied. They then left us alone and said they’d check the cameras. Later, we had them banging on our door at 10 in the evening, asking us to follow them downstairs, where we ended up watching CCTV footage of me and my girlfriend getting our new key and paying for our room.
Then the owner showed up—the same person who gave us the new room—and started showing us the same video of an empty hallway on repeat, clearly confused about what she was doing, before threatening to call the police. All of this was because they had given another customer the old room and not a key… yet they had our deposit and even said that wasn’t enough to cover the key, which made no sense as that is the purpose of a key deposit—to obviously cover the key being lost.They told us we was going to have a bit big problem and didn’t let us go back to bed for over and hour!!!
ALL THIS NOT TO MENTION LIZARDS FALLING ON US WHILE IN BED 😂😂😂
The hotel was in a good location and some of the staff were lovely, but the owner and another man working there were extremely hostile toward us, all over a key they claimed went missing days before this situation.
UNACCEPTABLE
