Vang Vieng Savanh Sunset View Resort

I chose this hotel on the spot because of the pool, but it turned out I couldn't swim in it because it was extremely dirty. The rooms were a bit worn out, and the towels were stained. There was practically nothing to eat for breakfast; they had eggs: sunny-side up, omelets, and scrambled eggs, all cooked in a huge amount of oil. Everything on the buffet was always cold, not even lukewarm, but genuinely cold, because the dining area was open-air. There was breaded chicken (which was tasty), questionable sausages, rice with vegetables, toast, and some kind of porridge. I stayed there for several days, and it affected me because eating the same cold food for 4-5 days gets old. There was also watermelon, which was delicious! The hotel laundry ruined a white blouse by washing it with dark clothes, even though I had specifically asked for everything to be washed separately. On Trip.com, the rules stated that cancellation wasn't possible, but booking modifications were. However, when I tried to shorten my stay by a day, they refused, citing unknown hotel rules that no one had informed me about. It was very cold in the room in the mornings and evenings, really very cold!! I slept in warm clothes, and the air conditioning didn't blow warm air. The walls were very thin, so I could hear all my neighbors, even when they went to the bathroom. The city center is a 15-minute walk away. A tuk-tuk from the hotel costs an astronomical amount for a 3-minute ride, so it's better to rent a scooter or hire a driver. Hot air balloons were launched nearby, and you could walk to the launch site. The staff was no help at all.
