Scandic Veromies

After exiting the airport, following the 'HOTEL (SCANDIC)' signs, I waited at bus stop 42 and a grey bus came to pick me up. There are a few Scandic hotels, but Valimo is the first stop, so I arrived quickly. The hotel is clean and stylish. The reception staff were also kind and polite. However, due to its sleek and minimalist design, there are absolutely no amenities in the room. There's no kettle or cups either, and it was tough not being able to have a warm cup of tea when it was cold. Nevertheless, I think the best feature of this hotel is its Finnish sauna! It's free to use until 11 PM and it warmed me right to the core. This hotel is highly recommended for anyone using Helsinki Airport.

The room was comfortable, though not luxurious. I was initially worried about the lack of a shuttle, so I specifically confirmed with Ctrip and indeed, there was one. The shuttle ride takes about 15-20 minutes.

Standard Nordic-style twin room. The room is compact, with two single beds pushed together and two separate single duvets. Good enough for an overnight stay near the airport. Had a quick breakfast in the morning and caught the airport bus—very reassuring and convenient. Trip.com's price was quite reasonable.

Arrived late at night, but the airport shuttle bus was a lifesaver. The front desk staff were also very kind and helpful, which was great.

This hotel is quite good in all aspects, I highly recommend it. It offers great value for money and is very clean and hygienic.

This hotel offers the best value for money for a layover day trip in Helsinki. They provide a free shuttle to the airport, and from the airport, you can easily explore the city with a day pass. Having traveled around Scandinavia, I found Helsinki to be really great. Next time I have a layover, I'll definitely choose Beijing-Helsinki again and stay at this hotel.
