AWFUL! THE RECEPTIONIST WAS SUPER RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. THE FOOD WAS IN A VERY BAD CONDITION, FLIES EVERYWHERE AND TASTELESS. THE DRINKS WERE JUST WATER. THE ROOMS WERE DIRTY AND QUITE OLD AND THE DON’T CLEAN THE ROOM JUST MAKE THE BED. MAKE A FAVOUR TO YOURSELF AND DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE

I had such a fun time at Starfish Quatro Palmas. The staff are very nice and friendly and it is full of fun travellers who want to make friends and enjoy life. Grounds and rooms: beautiful and well maintained, no garbage, a very clean place. It is an older hotel and some rooms may show the age depending on what level of room you select but I never care about how the room looks as I only want to sleep and have it be free of bugs. My standard room in the main building above the pool was very clean and no bugs whatsoever not even an ant. Amazing view of the pool when you walk out the room. Food: so good! Every day at the buffet I enjoyed freshly cooked beef and squid, shrimps and seafood and salad, cucumbers, and tomatoes plus other vegetables to make salads, dressing, no shortage of vegetables whatsoever. Freshly cooked pasta at the pasta bar, with shrimps and bacon and green pepper and your choice of sauce. Fresh fruit like papaya and pineapples and watermelon. The snack bar has great hamburgers and ham and cheese pizza. The international restaurant had delicious steak and lasanga and dessert. I highly recommend coming on new years as they food in the buffet was incredible, they worked very hard to make an amazing selection, including sushi, it was really very special. And for those complaining about supply - this resort has way more than the rest of the island! In Holguin where I am going next, people are complaining about not having eggs at all. At Starfish they had eggs 4 different ways, everyday, no shortage! Entertainment: The synchronized swimming show in the pool was fantastic and the Michael Jackson show. The entertainers showed us the best time on new years and we danced on the stage and popped champagne. They gave us new years accessories and noise makers and we had a blast. The entertainers are always putting on games and competitions with prizes and it is a very lively resort. The beach: absolutely beautiful as you'd expect, very clean, soft white sand and you can walk a long time in both directions. Lifeguards and security always on duty. Left my belongings unattended while I went on walks and never had problems as always in Cuba. Location: absolutely perfect, right in the heart of downtown near all the fun bars like Calle 63 which is right across the street and makes great drinks and has street dancing and the bartenders are so nice and fun. There is a market square across the street where Calle is where there is also lots of other bars and places to get food, its so lively and colorful. Havana Club bar right across the street, very fun. You must check out Floridita bar where you will get the most amazing mango daquiri cocktails. I had lots of fun just walking to the end of the main ***** and back, looking at all the cool homes and gardens, the bars and restaurants, the old cars and horse carriages, and of course Josone park, you must visit there, it is a paradise and Bar Varadero 1920 makes amazing cocktails right by the po

My husband and I were very happy with surroundings of this hotel, although when we first arrived, we were put into a hotel room that was off the main property. The next day we asked to switch rooms and were accommodated by the front desk for an extra $30 a night US..well worth it! All of the staff that we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The buffet was good, with many choices..including an omelette bar at breakfast & meat & pasta bars at dinner. The desserts were particularly nice. Entertainment during the day & evening was very enjoyable & drinks in the bar were good, especially if you like rum! The pool was cool & refreshing, but the beach front was even better. Beautiful white sand and lovely warm turquoise blue water.. A very special thanks to our housekeeping lady, Yaumara, for all her kindness & keeping our room #1227 perfect every time! Also a big shout out to Alberto, who helped us out with our luggage & Javier at the beach bar, who kept the drinks coming! Overall a great time..good location, near lots of activities, markets & restaurants. Don’t miss the Beatles bar just down the street.

My husband and I were married at this lovely resort in January. Our whole group had an amazing time ! Elimay and her team gave us a wedding beyond our expectations .Our room was upgraded and always set up so beautifully with extra touches. Thank you to the lovely Hilda for always making it so pretty The beach is gorgeous and was the perfect backdrop for the day. The lobster dinner was beyond delicious and the cake….wow !! Breakfast in our room the next morning was extra special. The resort is in the perfect location to get out and explore Varadero. The staff is fantastic ! The bartenders at the pool bar made the best Mojitos. The Starlight lounge was the perfect place to end the day. The drinks were as beautiful as they were tasty. The food every day was very good and the a la carte were even better. The snack bar always had something good to eat . The hotel was clean and well thought out. The beach and pool were never short of chairs to relax and soak up the sun Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to come back ! Adam and Martina
