The hotel is very nice, very large, with activities for the whole day. bars, cafes, food 24 hours a day, all inclusive, great variety of buffet meals, incredible night shows. The employees were like family to us. And the best!!! Music!!! With many artists playing live music at any time it was definitely the best!!!!

Well-deserved reputation, really good! Located in the middle of Varadero, connected to the long-standing golf course, the heights are scattered, and the design is unique. It is really rare to enter the lobby and see the sea green orchid. Walking through the coconut grove steps into the beach has comprehensive facilities and an excellent location. I walked more than ten kilometers along the beach, but this place is superior. There are igneous rocks hanging on the sea at both ends, and the scenery is unique! Looking at the blue swimming pool from the railing, there is an ocean across the coconut grove, which is refreshing! The all-inclusive warm and attentive service makes people satisfied. We stayed for 12 days during the Wimbledon season, and the clear live broadcast in the air-conditioned room should also be liked. There are enough varieties in the dining hall, and the service is particularly enthusiastic. We would like to thank the two waiters who took care of our Chinese drinking habits of hot water, and made us feel very comfortable if we can’t eat Xi’an! We are especially grateful to all the Cuban service staff who know that we are Chinese and show their friendliness. Excellent scenery, comprehensive facilities, excellent service, clean room, satisfactory dining room, full of joy The enjoyment makes us feel that there is more vacation life in Cuba than a cruise ship! Give the hotel a big thumbs up! There are two suggestions: the soup is too salty, just do not add salt to the corn paste. The pressure of the bath water is low, and it will be difficult for old hotels to increase the pressure. The overall service is satisfactory.

Melia Varadero is almost the top all-inclusive hotel in the area. I ordered three meals a day, but the experience was no different from the all-inclusive package (daily drinks and beverages), but the buffet tasted a little hard to swallow, and the Japanese food and International were OK. The Caribbean Sea is beautiful, but the easier area to go swimming is in the hotel next door, which takes about 10 minutes to walk along the beach. The hotel facilities are relatively old, but it is good in Cuba, and the service is almost non-existent... There is not even a hotel service map... The customer service is very good, a lot of attention, the food is excellent, the hygiene of the place is very, very good and given the circumstances with the Covid excellent they have hand sanitizer in all the places the protection of the excellent employees, we had to be with 😷 all the time inside the hotel except at the pool and on the beach and at the time of being at the bar making orders as in the buffet, the workers were the ones who put whatever you wanted to eat on the plates so as not to have any contact with the Food, very good experience with everything and excellent specialty restaurants. This is the second time I made a reservation for my family as I cannot travel to see them and my own experience here a couple of years back was extraordinary! The service in this hotel is unheard of! They are just to kind! All of them..just angels! For those who haven’t visit, this is one to give it a try…I promise you won’t regret it…aaand cannot even start mentioning the cost effectiveness of this one! You have all type of activities available, and Great food….This is what value for money is meant for ❤️❤️❤️❤️ besitos a todos en el staff! Gente increíble!

LOVE will not be enough to describe my feelings for this place. I have a lot to say but I'll summarize it with key words :) Gorgeous grounds with palm trees, big resort so you'll never get bored, gorgeous huge pool, clean clean clean! the most friendly staff I've ever met in my whole life. I literally gave them a hug everyday, staff works 24/7 in the rooms, lobby, grounds to maintain the place, this resort is geared more towards families and I really felt safe and it was also super cute to watch the kiddos play and chase each other, every possible alcoholic drink you can ask for (at least 3 places you can get them from daily: near the pool, lobby, by the beach), lovely beach (no question in that lol). I won't comment on the food because it's a very subjective topic. But honestly the buffet has a lot of variety so you can for sure find something to eat. The restaurant staff are just incredible with their attentiveness. I wish I remembered all their names but Daisy is one that comes to mind! Such a kind soul. A huge huge huge thank you to both the daily entertainment team (Vladimir, Leo, Eduardo) and the nightly entertainment team (so many names I can't remember haha). Both teams basically run the whole resort with SO much activities that will keep you occupied (dance lessons, foam parties, competitions for adults and kids, etc.). Their smiles and professionalism is intoxicating and I really think this resort has really hired the best of the best. They deserve a raise :) I personally will not be going to any other resort. I did a lot of research and this resort has the most gorgeous grounds that cater to me so I'll stick to it. Hotels like Melia and Blau have a very modern look and honestly I see enough modern buildings in Canada so I wanted somewhere with a tropical vibe. Tainos is the perfect mix of tradition and modernism. Just a tip to future travellers: paying extra for the bungalow pool view suites is SOOOO worth it. So much privacy, music playing all day long, gorgeous view. Lastly, thank you so much to both the hotel management and sunwing. We actually requested a transfer to Tainos after staying at a horrible resort for 23 hours. Tainso accommodated our request, provided us with their most upgraded room at no cost, and made our vacation so memorable. I will definitely be recommending this place to all of my friends :)

May 17th - 31st This was my 8th time staying here I believe and it certainly did not disappoint. The WIFI internet was decent and available all around the resort! The food was good and acceptable. Ice cream and desserts were the best. The hamburgers were a pleasant surprise with their local condiments! The late night sports bar and grill was the place to be. Air conditioned room with sports tv, pool tables, drinks, and a grill. As long as one visits Varadero to have fun, nobody will be disappointed. It's a utopia, that's all there is to it! Please upgrade and renovate the bathrooms! Tips: - Bring your own toilet paper, candy, sauces, condiments, foaming hand soap, bathtub and shower cleanser, scrub pads, soap bars, razors, shaving foam, - Take a visit to the International bank downtown Varadero to exchange CDN or US dollars into Pesos. Easier to spend with tipping and local restaurants with Pesos. Both have both currencies just in case. - Repeat guests: ask for an extension in your room past check-out time if you need. It should be free if you are a repeat guest.

I stayed in multiple resorts during this visit to Varadero and this one is by far the most beautiful. The pool is gorgeous, there are lovely little bars everywhere all over the property too with delicious drinks. I upgraded to a premium suite and omg would highly recommend. Everything is touch activated and it’s basically a smart room. The beach is gorgeous with turquoise waters. The only thing I can say negative was that I didn’t love the buffet food but all of the ala carts are included each night I just never had time to sit down and enjoy one of them. I heard all the restaurants are amazing though - so aim for those. Otherwise - this property is worth every penny 💕

Good meal, delicious. The environment is very beautiful, the place is very big, but the distance from room to restaurant is relatively long. The lobby service's laughter is not natural enough. Food is not bad.
