The castle is smaller than expectation. The swimming pool is closed and there is not so many to see and walk around. There is only one towel for 2 persons? 🤔🤔

A nice place to stay. Lovely cottage away from the main house. The swimming pool was welcomed after a long drive but would be better if they invested in padded pool lounges. Dinner was good but not outstanding. Very peculiar canapes. A good vegetable purée with a little soft cheese at the bottom, a cube of jellied peanut (bit strange) then a slice of a nut based jelly with slight meaty overtones (just weird). Squid appetizer was good but both mains needed seasoned and my John Dory needed something textured rather than 3 large quenelles of artichoke purée. Service a little brusque. A nice Vouvray to drink.

What a beautiful chateau. We only spent one night there in their guest house but what an amazing place and grounds. We had a wonderful lunch outside in the gardens but unfortunately did not have dinner there. Next time!! Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Awful, intransigent attitude. I booked a night here as part of a journey from Almeria to Calais. Four hotels needed and this was to be the 3rd. I made an error on the booking and booked for 26 March instead of 28 March. The booking was non-refundable but I spotted the error within 5 minutes. They were asked to change the dates but they refused. So I am £130 down but they have lost much more as we would have had breakfast, dinner and a bar bill- There are terms and conditions but decent businesses also care about the customer experience; this hotel certainly doesn't.

A lovely quirky hotel with a great restaurant and swimming pool. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was massive (our bedroom was covered in fabric!) and fabulous (up some very steep stairs). We ate at the restaurant both nights and the food was excellent (although the service on the first night was very flaky). You had to go up to the hotel for pool service as there was no way of contacting anybody and again service was pretty slow. The pool was lovely (until it was overtaken by a very large rowdy family). Overall a surprisingly nice hotel.

Domaine de La Tortiniere was absolutely a wonderful, amazing experience. Our suite was large and spacious, clean and air-conditioned. The staff was beyond helpful and very accommodating. We are excited to visit again.

Perfect! Very warm and welcoming after a long journey. Our teenage sons, and five year old nephew were made at home. Rooms are charming and well appointed. Chateau is a delight, particularly the parlour and dining room. Breakfasts and dinners were all superb. The staff could not be lovelier, both in communication before arrival and while visiting. We spent three nights, and will happily return should our travels bring us back to the Loire.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. We recently stayed here for our trip to the Loire Valley. The hotel was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we met the owner who was eager to visit and tell us the history of the place. Our room, #4, had a sweet little balcony where we were able to sit on and have a drink overlooking the backside of the estate. The room was very nicely sized and comfortable. The grounds were in bloom with a carpet of pink and white Cyclamen which was spectacular. The chateau, in our opinion, looked like a mini Chateau Chenonceau itself, (less the bridge lol). Look at the pictures and you will see the similarity. It location was great for using as a home base to visit the magnificent chateaus of the valley and the small towns that dot the river. Our only regret was not to have eaten there as everyone we talked to said the restaurant was great too. A visit in last September early October is a great time to visit!!
