Samesun Venice Beach

I have stayed here as a backpacker since 2010, this time staying with my friend in a private room, location is amazing, cozy rooms with air conditioning, fine linen, legendary place & good price ;)

Always a treat staying in this beautiful hostel. For solo travelers, dont hesitate to book your stay here. Imagine waking up to a front beach everyday. A home away from home. Can’t ask for more

I had a great stay overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The facilities were convenient and everything worked as expected. The staff were friendly, polite, and always willing to help whenever I had questions. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get around. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would happily stay here again

Location is perfect but rooms are hot and small. The fans don’t work. The area is loud. The hotel needs to improve the air- conditioning. Also expensive

Great location looking over Venice Beach. 4 bed dormitory for women with unsuited including breakfast was excellent value. Cosy lounge and spacious kitchen. No elevator so needed help with getting suitcases up the stairs. Towels provided free of charge, helpful staff, Lyft car from LAX.

The location is perfect. They ask for a credit/debit card when checking in. Kitchen is closed from 10pm to 7:30am. It’s also comfy to get there by bus from the airport and to get by bus/metro with connections to almost anywhere. They also are ok if you’ll aborder a package in the lobby. Room is sweet and has a shower. Beds are with curtains. There’re shelves and sockets in each bed. Hostel provides towels and shampoo/body wash and conditioners. Lockers are small, so the suitcase won’t fit, but it’s okay for valuables. Breakfast consists of bagels, toast bread, granola bars, oranges, tea, instant oats and butter. There’s only fridge, no freezer. Target/trader’s Joe is where Santa Monica is. Hostel has a wending machine with snacks and there’s a small grocery in the next building. The only thing is that I lived there for 3 days and rooms wasn’t cleaned (floor and bins). It caused full bins and dusty floor. All other hostels I stayed in, cleaned every day.

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS Extremely clean Top beds (mattress and estructure, there is not noises while getting on bed, they take care of the bunk beds properly) The staff is friendly They whole system of organization works Breakfast is simple but good quality items 2 steps from Venice beach I’ll be back for sure
