Hotel Carlton Capri

The location is pretty good! Once you brace yourself and lug your luggage over that 'bridge of pain' that everyone has to conquer coming from the train station, the walk to the hotel is very smooth. You don't have to drag heavy bags up and down narrow alleys, which is a huge advantage in Venice. However, the hotel's facilities are quite basic. There's no kettle in the room, which can be inconvenient if you like to drink hot water. Breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular but not bad either, and the croissants were really tasty. Overall, the room was very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. If you want to avoid the torture of carrying luggage through a labyrinth of streets, this is a very practical choice.

The location is super convenient, really close to both the train station and the ferry port. The room has air conditioning and a fridge, and both the bathroom and the room itself are very spacious.

This place is terrible, I don't recommend it. They try to scam you in various ways.

The hotel has a lift, but there are a few steps leading up to it. The shower screen in the bathroom is too short, so water easily splashes onto the floor. Breakfast is provided and is standard. It's close to the train station, but you have to cross a bridge to reach the hotel. You need to return your room card every time you leave. The area is safe, with restaurants nearby, and there are police and military personnel stationed at the train station.
