This is truly an incredible and very special hotel. It is perfectly located away from the tourist noise of Venice but yet close enough to the main sights, either on foot or via the San Stae Vaporetto stop right next door. The hotel also as the benefit of a private jetty right on the Grand Canal which is perfect for airport transfers or water taxi journeys around the city. We stayed in a wonderfully spacious Prestige room with views over the very quiet courtyard garden at the back. The room was decorated in the old venetian style yet felt well-appointed and modern. We particularly loved the modern marble bathroom and the luxuriously smelling toiletries (in full size bottles!). The hotel is just so relaxing – I would highly recommend having evening pre-dinner drinks in the canal-side private gardens with a bowl of olives or local charcuterie. This became a favourite thing to do before heading to one of Venice’s amazing restaurants for dinner, which the excellent concierge team at the hotel are on hand to provide tips and recommendations (we made all of our restaurant reservations before arriving). Breakfast was a particular highlight. Offered a la carte in the lovely light restaurant overlooking the courtyard – a wonderful selection of pastries, fresh eggs cooked anyway you’d like (the omelettes were incredible and so light!), fresh fruit salad, cheese and meats and even local pasta dishes (we tried this on our final day, and I wish I had eaten it every morning!). It was the perfect way to start the day and I believe it to be one of the best quality hotel breakfasts I have ever eaten. The hotel staff really helped make the stay even more memorable. The Front of House team were so warm and welcoming, offering lots of advice for how best to explore the city and always asking how my day was upon my return to the hotel. The General Manager, Luana is a real asset to the hotel and was always on hand to add a personal touch to our stay – she even waved us off at the jetty when we departed for the airport. It won’t be long until we return. This hotel really is one of the best in Venice!
