Hotel Oriente

Absolutely beautiful hotel with even better staff. The views are just breathtaking and it’s not too far from The train station. I got a free upgrade which was just fantastic. I have to give Marco a big shout out as he went above and beyond to help me out. As a solo female traveller, this hotel made me feel so safe. I’ll 100% recommend and will be back anytime I’m near the area.

Great location next to the station. Easy to get to pompei and Sorrento. Hotel didn’t much amenities and no pool, massage and limited food

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were all so welcoming and accommodating. Emily and Bastiano were amazing on the bar..very chatty and friendly and welcoming. Marco was great and informative on reception, Sara was so lovely too. And Austin was always smiling and friendly. I didn’t got everyone’s names but a girl on reception organised that we could in the jacuzzi even though it was out of season. And the breakfast box we got really early in the morning as we left for the airport and the guy that greeted us at breakfast every morning made it special. It’s the location and the staff that really make this a hotel that I would recommend and hope to return one day.

It's an excellent location, steps from the train. It has a private beach accessible by bus from the hotel, or a 7-minute walk. The hotel staff were very helpful, especially with our luggage before and after check-out. The bathroom has a very uncomfortable and old bathtub that makes bathing unpleasant. But overall it's a very comfortable room with a beautiful terrace and a mini bar (extra charge). I would only recommend that the bar be outside rather than inside, considering they have so many terraces outside that they don't use. I like the breakfast. See you soon.

July 26 stayed at this hotel. Great choice for location and accommodation. Acces to all the local boat trips, Amalfi and Positano, the hotel staff helped to book the best boat trip to Capri. Train and bus service easy to use and very close to hotel. Vivo Equense small town which is easily walkable into and around lots of bars and restaurants varies from pasta/pizza to delicious Italian cuisine. The hotel itself is big, clean but a little dated with an eclectic collection of decor. The hotel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful, particularly reception who were more than happy to answer questions. There is no pool, rather free use of the beach area which is down a rather big hill. The hotel does have a private van/bus service to and from the hotel which is bookable. Vico equense is the perfect location for the Sorento area. Sorento is easily accesssble by bus or train and is a quite a large town which was very busy. The Amalfi and Positano, both a must see and beautiful areas were extremely busy and crowded as was capri. Pompei again, easily accessible by train, a guided tour is recommended but it was exposed to the sun, little shade and very hot.
