The service was exelent by very professional and helpful staff. Food (breakfast) was very good and well organised. Inroom facilities is also very excellent and the room was literally spotless. The A/C really was the cherry on the cake. I been to a vast number of hotels in Malta and this is really one of the top choices for me.

Me and my husband were guests of Solana hotel and Spa for the past week and i have to say that our experience was incredible. Regarding accommodation we had a decent room which was always properly cleaned, the only problem that we faced was the thin walls from which we could hear everything going from other rooms. Regarding the food and beverage department, we had various of restaurants to choose such as the Tosca, Prickly Pear, Belini and Top Deck, where we always had a nice dining experience served by polite and kind staff, however a person who left us an impeccable impression was Sara. She always greeted us with a smile, made us amazing cocktails which shows that she is quite good at her job, we enjoyed talking to her. Overall we are satisfied with our stay in the hotel, and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Having stayed in several hotels in the area (Dolmen, Seaview, Topaz), I decided to go for the closest to the action for my latest trip. I believe the Primera Hotel has been undergoing upgrades since COVID. The results of these are visible in some areas and in others there is work to be done. All the staff were superb. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. I didn't catch many names, but Njelli??Nellie?? on reception, Clayton night reception, were great. Housekeeping were also polite and very friendly. The room, on the second floor, was quite large and comfortable. The furniture (wardrobes, drawers, bedside cabinets and fridge all looked brand new. The bed was two fairly basic metal frames with relatively poor mattresses, which had very stiff edges so there was no chance of a spread across the two singles to treat as a double bed. The bathroom was again a good size and was clean with what looked like fairly new tiling. The only downside of the bathroom was the ridiculous shower cubicle with doors that don't roll on the runners but must be almost picked up and put into place when showering. The roof terrace again looks as though it has been recently renovated and was a really surprising treat. Wonderfully clean and tidy. Plenty of loungers and a pool that is big enough to have a cooling dip when the sun gets a little hot. A TV plays tranquil music and WC/changing facilities were a nice touch. I would guess there is enough space for a small bar or a pool table up there if the owners were so inclined. I watched the Saturday of the Malta airshow display with a great view over St. Pauls bay. Such a shame that the Sunday was canceled due to the high winds. The location can not be beaten. So many bars and restaurants are within a few minutes (in some cases seconds) walk. Less than a hundred yards to the promenade beach and swimming. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, on the understanding that The Primera is not perfect but I believe they are working to get there. I for one will be back. Many thanks

Struttura un po' vecchiotta ma efficiente . La camera era molto ampia (davvero enorme) , con balcone . No minibar e no kit per il bagno ; mi è stata fornita sono una mini soap bar (quindi se prenotate vi consiglio di portare i vostri campioncini) . La colazione è discreta . Facendo un bilancino qualità prezzo non posso assolutamente dire nulla , anzi . Unica pecca che mi ha davvero fatta rimanere parecchio male , nonostante io non sia una persona ”schifettosa” , è stato il water in cui ho ahimè trovato piccoli residui di escrementi (facilmente rimovibili con lo spazzolone) . Questo per me, come per chiunque del resto, indice di pulizia non approfondita ed efficiente !

We stayed for 2 nights in early October, after reading the reviews , and before a business meeting on the main Island. The hotel was quite nice, had a lift, room was clean and tidy with a cute 4 poster bed. The ensuite worked well. It is right near a Church. The bus to Victoria is just outside around the Church. There are a number of lovely eateries around, including the Fat Rabbit under the hotel itself. The best part however was Frankie. This manager made the place special and I wish we could have stayed longer. He was helpful, engaged and a fountain of information. He even took our luggage to Port on our last day so we could utilize the morning better. We also appreciated the transport from the airport directly to Gozo , on the car ferry, which we pre-arranged. If there is something that could be improved is that details of what is a breakfast inclusion should be made clearer. Thank you for a lovely stay in Gozo!

Just returned from our week in Gozo staying at the Cornucopia Hotel what a gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was great with a lovely large balcony looking down to Marsalforn. Very clean and tea/coffee etc replenished daily also towels. The grounds and pool areas are kept spotless and plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast was excellent plenty of choice hot and cold selection. The hotel is very peaceful for a relaxing break and bar area very comfortable. The village centre is a short stroll where there are several restaurants. We did not hire a car as the buses ran from near the square and were very reliable. Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday perfect and will definitely be back.

Staff excellent - informative & friendly - we were upgraded to a balcony studio room overlooking village square & right next to church (possibly helped by fact our friend live in Xwekija). No noise from village or church bells disturbed our sleep. One downside was the rain which soaked the lounger seats . Not noticeable until you sat on them & got rather wet (we learned to bring them inside to prevent reoccurrence). Room cleaned daily & existing covid rules were followed. Sheets, towels changed as requested. Comfy bed. Wish there had been a notice on the jacuzzi bath informing us of their closing off of shower spray (apparently previous guests had been leaving it switched on) to prevent flooding of floor below. Was surprised that we weren’t regularly provided with drinking water although tea/coffee facilities provided. When I asked about the water we were given some more though told it wasn’t policy. Breakfast provided in restaurant next door. Tasty but enormous portions unless you were more specific in your order (which could do). Bus service to other parts of island (including the ‘tourist bus) at side of hotel - outside church. Could get equivalent of our day rider system which could also use on ferry if within time limits (could also get weekly pass). Would go there again or try one of the other Quaint hotels group on Gozo

Excellent in every way! This newly built boutique hotel is located in the quaint village of Xaghra. It is beautifully set in a maltese type of a square. As soon as you step in you'll feel that joy of welcome! Not just a typical one. Receptionists will go that extra mile to help as well as they are highly good mannered and courtious. Beautifully decorated with spacious rooms throughout. Lovely decorated inside which will give you the needed rest. It is well clean and tidy. Breakfast is top! Whatever you're up to they provide! Everything is cooked on time and hence fresh and crispy. Hats off to the kitchen staff and restaurant staff. Highly recommended and this for sure will not be my first time there. Will sure return. Thank you Alejandro and Carol and the maltese receptionist which I can't remember his name along with the other front office staff. You're all a Gem and a credit to the hotel. Chapeau!
