Steigenberger Icon Hotel Herrenhof

Extremely satisfied! Great location, excellent service, delicious breakfast, and top-notch cleanliness. I also stayed at Steigenberger in Frankfurt, and it was equally impressive.

The value for money isn't great; it definitely doesn't feel like a five-star hotel. There's practically no lobby, though the sauna downstairs is decent. I stayed for five or six days, but the price hike at the end was too much, so I moved. The service attitude was also very poor. The only good thing about it was the location.

The location is fantastic, right next to the subway entrance. The facilities are decent. Breakfast was good, but seriously, be careful when getting the bacon and grilled tomatoes – they're scalding hot! Even though the hotel has 'steam hot' warnings, it's still easy to burn yourself.

Everything was clean and tidy. You can tell from the facilities that the hotel is getting a bit old, but it's still fine.

The room was quite spacious and clean. The location is absolutely fantastic – it's not a super high-end five-star hotel, more like an entry-level five-star or a strong four-star feel. The hotel is close to all the attractions, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, plus a supermarket. Oh, and the hotel only provides one 750ml glass bottled water per day. Although I heard the tap water in Vienna is very clean and drinkable, I'd still recommend boiling it before consumption.

The location is absolutely superb! It's close to all the main attractions, which are all within walking distance, and the luxury shopping street is right next door, making shopping incredibly convenient. Plus, there are several historic coffee shops nearby; I managed to visit two this time. It's a shame that Central Cafe is closed for half a year for renovations, so I'll have to save that for next time. Vienna is great, and so is this hotel! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again.
