Wake up Famalicão

We stayed here during world championships in Trofa and a perfect find. The place has no reception so everything is done by code and emailed to you on the day you are due to check in. Everything worked perfectly and we arrived to find a wonderful apartment spectacularly clean and enough space. All the kitchen equipment worked and was new, the bathroom had a great shower and even though it was a studio it still felt airy and spacious. You are literally beside fruit and veg shops, butchers and there is a supermarket, a huge one, about a 10 minute walk away. Charming small town and really pleasantly surprised by this place. Would absolutely stay there again in a heart beat.

We took a punt and booked a place with no reviews. What a lucky strike! This place is absolutely great. The little shops and cafes nearby are cheap, atmospheric and superb quality, people in the village helpful and friendly, the room we had was big and stylish and bed was good. Even the train station is near. The lady cleaning and being of service who let us in the first day (we arrived too early) was absolutely fantastic. Give her a raise! All I can say that value for money was excellent and this was the best stay I've had in Portugal.
