Fantastic hotel in one of the most beautiful spots in Tuscany. What a view! And within walking distance of the old medieval center. The hotel owners are wonderful people, very helpful and friendly. Super clean and well-maintained. Eating in the restaurant is definitely recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Tuscan food; we love it! The hotel has a fantastic large swimming pool. Large, spacious rooms (downstairs), large terraces and gardens; highly recommended. And if you want to taste the wines of Tuscany, or even more, you must do the wine tasting. Sommelier Elena tells you with full passion everything about the food and wine pairings and the history of Volterra, Tuscany, and all the wines. You have to do this!

The location is stunning, as are the views. From outside the place looks great. Inside, however, this hotel is poor. Shower didn't work and only Luke warm water. Dated decor, paper thin walls. Breakfast was average. Outside areas kept really nicely and it is north staying for one night just to see th views...but no more than one I would suggest

The hotel is in a great location, just a short uphill walk into the village. The staff were so welcoming, it felt more like being a guest of the family than a visitor. The rooms were comfortable and offered a spectacular view of Tuscany. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a day exploring. A special mention has to go to Elena, who hosted a superb wine tasting. She is a top sommelier and shared plenty of tips about Tuscan wine that made the experience even more memorable.

Good value for a walkable hotel. The room we were given was a bit musty, but it seemed fine after we aired it out. Also the room was at the end of a hallway where all the lights were off, which was a bit odd. The pool looked incredible, but I didn’t get a chance to try it. They were nice enough to let us park Vespas inside the gate for safety. Overall it was decent. If I had stayed more than one night, I would consider something more updated.

Beautiful property, plenty of parking spaces, walkable very to close to Volterra historic town.

Charming old villa just outside an ancient gate to the wonderful town, Volterra.

The hotel itself is very old fashioned and I get that from other reviews, but it isn't so bad as other reviews make it out to be. Rooms are clean and we slept well. You get very good service, friendly staff, a view money can't buy and free parking, so you don't have to drive into Volterra. What more does anyone want?

A nice hotel in Volterra, but not at all disabled friendly for our 88 year-old mother. Rooms very dated. Could also do with a good refurbishment, a selection of international tv channels and hot breakfast choices.
