Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park

Beautiful views of Mangawhai Heads. Lovely Camp Ground. Clean Facilities. Short walk into Mangawhai Heads township (North End) beautiful views once you climb the steps of Great Barrier Island & the Coromandel in the Distance. Another Short walk around to the Heads beautiful Coastline fun for the Surfies. Overall Very nice camp. Located at the North End of Mangawhai so is about 5 km from South End for all the other shops & Now has a Huge New World Supermarket. Camp itself is Quiet but Million dollar Views. Staff are Wonderful thanks Guys Look forward to returning!

Oh my word - thank you for a beautiful night!!! Seriously top location close to boat ramp, facilities are fabulous, they are lovely & clean and well appointed some access via security which is good a feels safe here Staff are friendly and very helpful Definitely will be back !!!!

We had a family cabin and thought it was awesome. Everything we needed and the kids loved the bunks. Such a lovely outlook to the estuary.

We stayed at the beachfront spot, which was incredible!! The woman’s bathroom was very nicely renovated, it was actually the nicest from all 4 holiday parks that we stayed at. I’m not crazy about the coin-operated hot water shower tho, i mean… it’s 2024, i don’t mind having a higher price for the night that comes with the hot shower (without needing to put the coins in). Literally no one carries cash on themselves anymore.. (Or we could pay for the hot shower with Eftpos machine if possible. heheh)

Absolutely beautiful spot🤩 Enjoyed our stay and the girls on reception were very welcoming and friendly. Ladies loos lovely and spotlessly clean but the rest of the amenities in the South end camp were a let down. Old and not that clean. No hairdryer which is unusual in campgrounds these days . The amenities at the North End of camp were outstanding so no doubt the South End will be too once they are upgraded. Would definitely stay here again and price for our 3 night stay was good.

It was lovely, great neighbours, great company. We loved hanging on the wharf out night, so stunning! Had a blast and enjoyed everyone in the campground company. It's a little hard to remember the bathroom code but luckily everyone helps you out!

This lovely holiday park is only a few minutes drive from the town centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in our motorhome on a powered site, and the sites are a good size, with lovely views beside the estuary. We stayed on the north side and used the bathroom facilities. They are kept clean and fresh, modern and have piped music. There is a code to enter the bathrooms so only campers can use them. The ladies had 4 toilets, 4 showers and 4 basins. We used the north kitchen for washing dishes. Detergent, cloths and brushes are supplied. It has 2 large fridges and 2 microwaves available and also 2 cooktops. There are laundry facilities as well, but we didn't use them. Past the fence on the south side there is a food van most days with a delicious and healthy menu.

We enjoyed our stay. This is our 3rd year camping at Mangawhai Heads, as part of the Red Beach Surf Life Club for the Youth Camp. The staff have become more efficient and friendly. I loved the self-check service. We'll be back again in January 2025. This time we are bringing my in-laws :-)

The family cabin is clean and well thought out, although there was no lock on the shower / toilet and the cabin is not serviced. Towels can be exchanged at reception. The staff are friendly and helpful. the grounds are well kept and the shared kitchen and toilets /showers are serviced regularly. over all a great experience and great for children at a reasonable price. we would be very happy to go again
