Thunderbird Bungalows

We stayed at Thunderbird Bungalows in August 2023, for one week. The owners were very responsive to any requests, and we have enjoyed getting to know them and their family over the past three summers. Like an old family cabin, it was comfortable with rustic charm (mismatched cutlery and dishes, older furniture, wood paneling). The double beds were comfortable, the kitchen was quite well-stocked with what we needed to cook our meals, and there was a barbeque. The pool and playground were just steps away from our cabin, and this frankly was the reason we chose this property. We have five young grandchildren and it could not be more convenient. We found it quiet, yet close to everything. We enjoyed our own firepit just outside the cabin most nights. The Wifi is not terribly reliable, the bedrooms are small, and it could use an update and a few small repairs. However, these issues do not compare to the location, price, child-friendly amenities and the relationships we have developed over the past few years, both with the owners and their family, and other returning families we have met at the pool and playground. We are already planning to book at Thunderbird Bungalows again next year!

The best place to stay in clear Lake. Pool is the best. Cabins are outdated big time except for a few that have been remodeled. Lots of dips in the grounds and mud could be better maintained . Parking is a bit of a problem as the owners have taken some space from the back of the cabins so you are excited to park on the road.
