"It is really good for price and easy to go places in DC. The Room is clean and the people in here is sooo good, They have a pool in hotel so summer would be better. They have a tub and I can easily fill up hot water in the tub. I highly recommend this place"
"It's an old hotel, but the two-king-bed suite is really comfortable. It has a spacious living room, desk area, dining space, balcony, entrance area, and a wraparound balcony that you can go out. You can imagine the sense of form of a good hotel decades ago. The outdoor pool is lovely in the summer. The location is great! It is very close to the zoo and the very quiet and beautiful Rock Creek Park. There are also many restaurants in the Woodley Park area, and it is a 5-10 minute walk from the subway station. Good value for money! The service is average, and the front desk staff on different shifts don't seem to have smooth handovers with each other. They changed us to a single-bed suite midway. The room was much smaller. The mattress on the sofa bed was a bit too bad to sleep on. Please update some of the old furniture in time!"
"Hotel location is good, walking to Capitol Hill for ten minutes, Uber to the White House and Washington Monument are not expensive. The Botanical Garden and the Natural History Museum are also not far away. Hotel breakfast is not bad, typical American breakfast. Good health and good service. It is very expensive, and the room rate already includes the service charge. After the stay, you will be charged a facility tax of more than 20 knives per day. I hope that Ctrip will clearly inform the hotel of the additional charges after the trip, if it is a hotel practice. I feel that the temporary deduction is unreasonable."

"The location of the hotel is very close to the White House. Although the room is a bit small, it is clean and tidy. The view on the top floor is very good, there is a bar, and the service attitude of the staff is good. The only bad thing is that they call the front desk to get us cleaning supplies and they never show up , a little disappointed😞 Also, the bed is too soft, I can't rest well at night, and the coffee machine can't be used. Overall, I only agree that the location and hygiene here are very good. Others are not recommended"
"The price is expensive and the service is great. At night, I will place Evian mineral water and cups on the bedside table, place foot mats next to the bed and washstand, fill the ice cubes with ice cubes, and turn on the sleep aid music. It is in all hotels I have stayed abroad the best."
"Such a lovely hotel. The restaurant in the hotel was great. Octopus appetizer, hamburger and salmon dish were all amazing. def recommend. Staff were nice. But the vallet was sooo expensive. $60 per night. i heard that you can park $30 per night just next to hotel. But there was a random male underwear on the top of the closet. Except the parking and cleanliness, everything was great and would like to stay again if i visit DC again."
"The hotel is very luxurious and very big. The front desk is nice. We booked two double-bed rooms. We didn't have it at checkin and gave two double-bed rooms instead. No breakfast, expensive parking, free coffee."
"The hotel is very new, and the rooms are quite large in the United States. It is a ten-minute walk from the White House. There are luxury stores downstairs, and there are many dining options nearby."
"Location was so convenient to eating places and attractions like the WA monument, congress House. Staff were friendly. Husband and I came down from Las Vegas to our daughter and her family in Chester, VA. We drove to WA DC for New Year and it was so much fun. The hotel also has children’s play corner and our grand daughter had so much fun!"
"Before returning to China yesterday, I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington. The overall experience has highlights, but there are also some unsatisfactory aspects.
When I walked into the hotel lobby, the first feeling was that it was open and bright, and the space was very spacious. There was no crowded feeling of people coming and going in other hotels. I felt comfortable and comfortable walking inside. The check-in speed was also very fast. The staff will kindly hand over an introduction paper, which clearly marked the hotel's various service facilities and precautions. It was convenient and practical, and the favorability was instantly full.
However, when I walked into the assigned room, my mood suddenly dropped. This time I was arranged in a corner. The layout of the room was a bit strange, and the lighting was not ideal, giving people a sense of depression. The bathroom was even more ”disaster area”. The space was very small, and the sanitary conditions were worrying. There were still other people's hair in the washbasin, which instantly made me question the hotel's sanitation management. I thought that five-star hotels would achieve the ultimate in hygiene, but I didn't expect such a problem to occur. It was really disappointing.
There are also some unhumane aspects in the check-in process. Other five-star hotels can check in by themselves as long as they can make a successful reservation on the Ctrip platform, but here, adults aged 21 and above must assist to complete the check-in procedure, which undoubtedly adds a lot of trouble for guests traveling alone or whose companions do not meet the age requirements.
However, the hotel's porter service is remarkable. They are enthusiastic and quick, and they actively help to carry luggage and patiently answer my questions along the way. I can really feel the hotel's professional service quality from them, which is also one of the few warm moments in this imperfect stay experience.
I hope the hotel can improve the room allocation, hygiene management and check-in process, and I believe this will bring guests a better accommodation experience."

AAnonymous UserI feel safe at the hotel location. Short walk to metro station, and walking distance to Capitol building, the close by grocery store has good selection and good price. Nearby not many restaurant choices. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
NNovax2 bedrooms and 1 living room. There are 2 large beds in the room. The sofa in the living room can be unfolded into a large bed. There is a mattress, but it is soft, so it is suitable for children. It is difficult to sleep with one big and one small. Turning over will make a creaking sound, so it is most suitable for big children who sleep soundly, so as not to affect the quality of sleep. There are 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, but there is no supermarket nearby, so buying ingredients is a problem. The hotel can buy them for you and charges a 30-dollar courier fee. There is a small supermarket in the hotel where you can buy snacks and water. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, waffles, sausages, oatmeal and other hot foods, and drinks are all iced. Self-service coffee, hot water is provided in the self-service coffee area. The hotel has free water filling equipment, so bottled water is not provided. It will change slightly every day. The hotel parking fee is about 53 dollars. There are many parking lots around, but it is also quite expensive (I don’t remember the specific price). You can take the subway Silver Line to Dulles Airport, which is 6.75 one-way plus 2 yuan card fee. It takes about 1 hour to get to the airport. Walk to the national mall area, about 10-15 minutes walk
GGuest UserLocation is good, pretty close to the airport. No airport shuttle service though. Front desk people are nice and friendly. Room is clean. Love the neighborhood around the hotel. Many good restaurants within walking distance. It also takes about 15 minutes walking to the nearest metro station. My girls also loved the outdoor swimming pool. It’s pretty nice to swim in a pool with Washington Monument in the background. Definitely recommend this place to the families with kids.
GGuest UserThe first room had a very noisy fan. I was moved to another room which was much quieter. I noticed that there were several small issues with the room and relayed them to the front desk, where a manager (Keith) overheard me and said he would look into it. Nothing happened to correct it during the entire stay, not a note to say how or if it would be corrected. The issue was a ring of paint or epoxy in the bathtub, something that should have been cleaned up at the time of painting.
The second issue was the very poor arrangement of lighting in the room. Lamps were confined to small areas, there was no overhead light and the bathroom was either overlit or underlit, while the closet area was dark unless it was daylight. Afterwards I noticed that there large holes in the sheer curtains in the room. Not tragic, but not in keeping with the tenor and tone of a Marriott Bonvoy.
In the lobby there was only an ADA service elevator to go from the street to the lobby level. It was self operated, no instructions, no indication lights on either level and a bit noisy.

GGuest UserThe decoration looks like an old-fashioned hotel, so the facilities are a little bit worse. But the room is big enough, the health is good, there is a coffee machine, and the customer service staff are also very polite.
It takes about ten minutes to get to the station.

GGuest UserGood location in Washington downtown, and so many restaurants around the place.Rooms are very clean. 20 mins walk to White House. I make the walking tour myself to
GGuest UserI traveled to DC with my preteen and teenage sons for a basketball game. The property didn’t receive my reservation (booked through 3rd party) but the front desk staff took the time to make it right and get us set up. They had excellent customer service throughout our stay.
This hotel was VERY clean. I was actually surprised because I use to stay here frequently about 10 years ago and expected some things to run down a bit. It turns out that the hotel is very modernized and looks just as good now as it did a decade ago.
The location is perfect as it’s right in the middle of the NoMa neighborhood and it is right next to the NoMa/Gaulludet (Red Line) Metro station. There are a few small shops across the street and a 7 Eleven next door if you are looking for a quick bite.
The room itself was comfortable. My youngest son and I slept soundly on the queen sized bed and my oldest slept on the couch. He was pretty comfortable without even folding the couch down.
Overall, I will definitely book here again as I frequently visit DC. Fo how inexpensive this hotel is, the quality was phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back.

GGuest UserNice structure, on the upper floors you can enjoy a nice view, average breakfast, very strict on payment which cannot be made except by credit card, no bank transfers or cash.
BBattleIvy City Hotel was very clean. Its right on a busy main road, but it is easily assessable, if that makes any sense. The room smelled like **** (its legal), but was easily covered up by a lit candle. It easy very calm all throughout the day/night , especially for DC and the characters that come and go. All in all, its a good place to lay your head when you stay.
